Generally runs well here and is at his best following a break. Fears the boat may have been missed given his latest run at Exeter when aided by a visor. Up 3lb with no guarantees he will back that up.
Has been known to burst blood vessels and he now needs good ground to be seen at his best. Has course form and is 4lb below his last winning mark. Stable have taken a lot of money out of the ring in the last few months so one to note in the betting.
Going nowhere quickly at present and his jumping issues still remain, so is continually held back by that. Suspicion is there's a race in him when he gets it right, but this track is a tough test.
Made a promising chase debut at Wincanton (2m4f, good) in October 2017. Well below that level since and finished last of five on most recent start. Cheekpieces on this time.
Winning pointer who gained a first success under rules over C&D 16 days ago. Beat an in form rival that day and finished 19L clear of the third. Has the scope to defy a 9lb hike and a good conditional has been booked.
Won a weak point-to-point in November prior to a good run in a military race at Sandown. Failed to back that up next time and he is without a win under rules since 2014.
Winning hurdler who has jumped poorly on last couple of chase starts. Comfortably held last time and needs to rediscover his Chepstow form to have any worthwhile chance.
Landed some good bets to open his account when aided by a first-time visor. Up 5lb, but he raced off much higher marks over hurdles and has the services of young Jonjo to assist.
Front-running course specialist who appeared to be finding his right level on last couple of starts. Best on testing ground and could prove to be hard to pass if conditions deteriorate.
Both wins have come off today's mark but he has more than 15L to find with Dont Be Robin on latest Chepstow form.
Point-to-point winner has shown little under rules. Fourth of five finishers in a poor race last time and significant improvement required.
Lightly raced since his last success in October 2017. Pulled up on last two starts and clearly remains beset by problems.
Represents a top yard but she is yet to make the frame in 11 starts and she is 3lb out of the weights here.
Forecasts
Danseur Du Large (9/4), Dont Be Robin (7/2), Water Wagtail (17/2), The Boola Bee (9/1), The Last Bridge (10/1), Definately Vinnie (14/1), Phoenix Rock (16/1), Culm Counsellor (18/1), A Tail Of Intrigue (20/1), Moorlands George (20/1), Royale Django (20/1), Midnight Mustang (28/1), Ken's Well (28/1)
Rain would play into the hands of The Last Bridge and the overnight forecast is favourable for this track specialist. Danseur Du Large scored here last time and has scope to develop further, but good ground was a factor last time and any rain could count against him. DONT BE ROBIN is less ground dependant and the booking of Jonjo O'Neill Jr is akin to having a professional riding against conditionals. Now that connections have found the key to him he may be the one to follow in a race that will take little winning.
- Dont Be Robin
- The Last Bridge
- Danseur Du Large
