Peak effort came at the end of last season when scoring at Doncaster (1m, good to soft), when 4lb lower. Didn't appear to get home over 1m2f on reappearance, but may also have needed that, and remains of interest here.
Stepped up on his debut efforts when winning back-to-back at Leicester (7f, good) and Beverley (1m½f, good to firm). Has the worst of the draw here, but should still be improvement to come and will need that given this initial mark.
Stepped up on his first two efforts when scoring at Leicester (7f, good) last time. Step up in trip could elicit further improvement, while blinkers may also help in that respect. Initial mark a little stiff, but not ruled out.
Nottingham maiden winner (6f, good to firm) last season. Has improved on last year's form in both runs this term, without yet winning. Up another 1lb here and unproven on good to soft, so questions to answer, but can't rule him out.
Newbury novice winner (7f, good to soft) last season. Gelded prior to reappearance, when showing some improvement at Musselburgh (1m, good) on handicap debut. Same mark here, good draw and has claims.
Lingfield novice winner (1m2f, AW) in January. Went very close next time out on handicap debut at Chelmsford, when 2lb lower. Never got competitive from this mark at Redcar latest, but can't write him off after that.

Forecasts
Politicise (15/8), House Of Kings (3/1), Loch Ness Monster (9/2), Big Baby Bull (11/2), Oasis Prince (7/1), Lola's Theme (10/1), Harvey Dent (16/1)
A tricky race. Big Baby Bull disappointed last time, but may benefit from dropping back in trip and having had that run, so he has to be taken seriously. Oasis Prince and House Of Kings are interesting handicap newcomers who should be checked out in the market for any confidence. None of the others can be written off, with POLITICISE the suggestion, after a very promising handicap debut last time. Lola's Theme relishes some cut, so she could go close from a good draw.
