C&D winner whose form tailed off towards the end of last season. No improvement on return to action at Doncaster last month, but has slipped to a dangerous mark.
Has been running well over hurdles and made a pleasing return to the Flat when fifth of 16 over 1m4f at Doncaster last month. This longer trip ought to suit so he is one for the short list.
Seems to stay well, although only win on the Flat came over 1m4f. Not at his best on return to action at Newcastle recently and may be best watched until showing a little more.
In good heart when last seen in November, winning a handicap hurdle at Ayr. Equally proficient on the Flat, stays this trip well and is one to consider if ready to go after her break.
Very useful hurdler at his best, but is capable enough on the Flat and ran well on stable debut and in first-time cheekpieces when 1L second of nine over this distance at Redcar last month. Up 2lb, but is in good heart and should be thereabouts.
In a rich vein of form, winning his last four races, three of them on the Flat and one over hurdles. Continues to climb the weights, but has to go on the short list with confidence sky high.
Scored twice in staying handicaps in September and made fine reappearance when just edged out over 2m2f at Pontefract last month. Should be sharper this time and has obvious claims despite a 3lb rise.
Completely out of sorts on recent outings over hurdles. Flat form in the autumn was decent enough, though, and he may well appreciate the switch back to this discipline.
Winner on the Flat and over hurdles and was having his first run run for almost three months when fair fourth of eight in a Newcastle handicap hurdle in March. Bit to find back on the level.
Winner of a 1m6f handicap at Southwell last week, but was beaten over 2m off the same mark at that venue on Wednesday. Runs in this before 10lb rise kicks in, but has to prove she is as effective on turf.
Has been running respectably over obstacles, but is a 14-race maiden on the Flat. Hard to make a strong case for, but not totally rued out.
Long way behind So Near So Farhh on return to action at Pontefract last month. Clearly needs to leave that form a long way behind
Best run for some time when 4L third of nine at Redcar last month. Enjoyed the return to 2m that day and has each-way claims again off 1lb lower
Forecasts
Aphaea (11/4), Grey Mist (10/3), Divin Bere (9/2), Ingleby Hollow (6/1), So Near So Farhh (8/1), Wishing Well (18/1), Stormin Tom (20/1), Prairie Town (25/1), Only Orsenfoolsies (28/1), Searching (33/1), Highway Robber (33/1), Attention Seaker (33/1), Leodis (50/1)
Grey Mist is in such great heart that it is hard to oppose him, but his winning run has to end at some stage and the one to beat him may be DIVIN BERE, who ran a fine race in first-time cheekpieces (retained) at Redcar last time and clearly enjoys this distance. There are a few other likely candidates headed by Ingleby Hollow, Attention Seeker, So Near So Farhh and Aphaea.
- Divin Bere
- Grey Mist
- So Near So Farhh
