C&D winner last August on good ground and set to race from just a 2lb higher mark; recent efforts suggest she's on the way back but possible the handicapper is still in charge.
Feasibly well handicapped but is still a maiden on turf (did manage a win over 6f on the Polytrack but that was two years ago and has been inconsistent since). Has a bit to prove but dangerous to rule out.
Only one win to his name from 33 previous starts and has struggled to make the most of a plummeting handicap mark; worth a second look in the betting now he's back on turf but not one for maximum faith.
Best form posted on the AW at Southwell but is 0-3 on turf so far and needs to step up considerably on previous attempts. Has done better since dropped in trip but still has a bit to find.
C&D winner on soft ground last October and has followed up on the AW at Southwell since; might need more give underfoot than he'll encounter but well worth considering if any rain gets into the ground.
Likes to get his toe in the ground and not phased if he has to battle. However, his return to action on the AW at Wolverhampton was poor last month and he needs to show significantly more here.
Didn't have to extend himself to win a modest sprint on the Tapeta at Wolverhampton when last seen (February) and will be interesting to note in the betting. Been off since then but mark not too prohibitive back in a handicap.
Struggling to make an impact and capitalise on a potentially very lenient mark. Needs to prove he's still in love with the game and is one to be wary of for now. Rain will help his cause.
Won a match race on the Fibresand last time but didn't have to fully extend himself and has a much stiffer test here. Has won on turf but not since October 2016; grass rating reflects the difference. Has a bit to find.
Been off since last July and makes limited appeal after making little progress in four starts last year. Suited by the trip but difficult to recommend on her first start of this campaign.
Good effort over 7f at Salisbury last month reads well and likely he'll have no issues with dropping back in trip. Never won a race in the Britain up to press though.
0-6 on turf but did look progressive on the AW towards the back-end of last year. Up 3lb here and needs to better his previous best on grass by some way. May be better for the run.
Took a long time to get off the mark and has yet to strike gold when tried on turf; modest effort at Pontefract last month needs to be banished from the memory but has gone well over C&D before now.
0-8 but dropped to a very handy mark as a result and there were definite signs of him retaining ability at Doncaster last month. Was hampered at Town Moor and may have got close. One to bear in mind here.

Tricky Dicky (11/4), Winklemann (6/1), Boundsy (13/2), Poet's Pride (8/1), Canford Art (10/1), Penny Pot Lane (11/1), Praxedis (12/1), Rasheeq (14/1), Mansfield (14/1), Global Melody (20/1), Papa Delta (20/1), My Society (20/1), Decision Maker (22/1), The Golden Cue (25/1), Mount Wellington (25/1), Cosmic Chatter (33/1), Glaceon (40/1)
Most of these are frustrating character and have thrown away winning chances on numerous occasions. However, PRAXEDIS can be considered a tad unfortunate to have met trouble in running last time out at Doncaster and looks worth a small punt to put the record straight. The state of the ground will be a big issue by this time but The Golden Cuelikes it here and will relish any give underfoot; he, along with Canford Art and Poet's Pride are others with solid place claims on the pick of their past efforts can help complete the shortlist.
- Praxedis
- The Golden Cue
- Canford Art
