A race with more questions than answers especially as last year’s winner Weekender comes into the race off the back of a disappointing run last time when he was sixth at Ascot having been surprisingly weak in the betting. He may well bounce back here but at the weight DANEHILL KODIAC who has also won here and was one place ahead of last year’s winner in the Sagaro Stakes is given the nod. Former Northumberland Plate winner Higher Power and Blakeney Point are taken to battle out the minor placing with both facing a relatively tough task at the weights.
