Dual 7f AW novice winner in February not really showed his best form in two handicaps since. Mark slides back 2lb after latest effort and expecting a much better showing if as effective on Fibresand as Tapeta and Polytrack.
6f two-year-old winner 12 months ago finished midfield in handicap debut in first-time hood at Lingfield latest. Gets 3lb back so no reason he can't improve a little on Fibresand bow.
Promise in middle of three novice races late on last season but didn't follow it up. Gelded since but opening handicap mark looks plenty high enough.
Minor ability shown in first three starts but beaten 25L on handicap bow latest. Changed stable since and faces an AW surface for first time but hard to recommend more than a watching brief.
Gelded son of Zebedee returned to the promise of his debut when second after attempting to make all on handicap debut at Wolverhampton latest. 2lb higher today but expectant of a similarly bold bid.
Won twice on AW over this trip for Mark Johnston but shown precious little in three starts since for this yard and is therefore hard to recommend.
Maiden run well in three consecutive starts here over 6f, 7f and 1m. Sure to make another bold bid then and first-time visor could unlock slight improvement needed to gain first win.
Dual C&D winner still has to prove she's capable off this mark 8lb higher than last win. Poor effort latest upped to 1m but hoping return to this trip sees her back on song. Capable of playing a part.
Forecasts
Ollivander (2/1), Moveonup (9/2), Bay Of Naples (13/2), No Thanks (15/2), Straitouttacompton (15/2), Sylviacliffs (8/1), Usain Boat (9/1), Axel Jacklin (50/1)
After a series of good efforts here this could be OLLIVANDER's turn, particularly with a visor now added to help eek out more improvement. Moveonup who ran his best race for some time and dual-winner Bay Of Naples are also likely sorts.
- Ollivander
- Moveonup
- Bay Of Naples
