Has run well in a couple of handicaps and also in Listed company this season. Acted well enough here on one previous try and has to be taken seriously from a good draw, despite being nudged up 2lbs since her last handicap run.
Scored at both Carlisle (5f, good to firm) and Epsom (6f, soft) last year, when finding Group 2 company a bit too tough, but running respectably in Listed races. Gelded since last seen in October, well drawn, and could kick on again.
Rattled up a four-timer last year on turf/AW, one of them over C&D (good) in August, when 8lb lower. Has run respectably in some good races so far this year, but does have a bit to prove now.
Won 7f Doncaster novice event last year (good to firm), but his three runs since joining this stable for 2019 leave a fair bit to be desired.
Fourth at Doncaster last time out, improving on his reappearance at Pontefract. Looks primed for a very competitive effort here, although his draw is a cause for concern.
1-11 in a busy juvenile campaign, during which he performed largely consistently. Difficult draw to contend with here, so odds against him doubling his win tally.
2-18 on AW, but 0-2 on grass and has drawn one of the short straws with stall 13. Up against it.
Won four times last year over 5f-6f, all with good in the going description. Resumed with a decent effort at Thirsk, but was way off the mark at Doncaster last time, which is not ideal coming into this.
Scored over C&D (soft) in September. Matched that effort when 2L fourth at Pontefract on his reappearance last month. Same mark today, and a good draw to boot, so he could go close.
Scored here over 7f (good) last July and backed that up with a good effort in a Class 2 Goodwood handicap next time. Disappointed when last seen in October. Gelded since, and dropped 1lb, but more needed on reappearance.
C&D winner (good) last year, who improved on last season's form when a close third at Sandown (5f, good to firm) recently. Not the best of draws, and up 3lb, but remains of interest.
Scored here over 5f (good to firm) last June, in novice company. Again went well back here in August, but two further visits were disappointing. Not seen since September, and gelded since, but is on what looks a feasible mark from a reasonable draw.
AW winner over 5f, but 0-9 on turf. Has a good draw and is on a workable mark, but despite being over 7f, his reappearance was just a bit below par, and he needs improvement.

Wild Edric (7/2), Chapelli (4/1), Cosmic Law (9/2), Pass The Gin (7/1), Lihou (8/1), Finoah (10/1), Kinks (12/1), Princess Power (16/1), Gabrial The Wire (20/1), Three Card Trick (25/1), Quiet Endeavour (28/1), Revich (33/1), Swissterious (33/1), Uncle Jerry (50/1)
An open heat, where COSMIC LAW is the suggestion,. Richard Fahey has two here, but the selection is the preferred option with some good, solid form to his name and also being proven on soft ground, with rain forecast. Wild Edric looks a potential danger, with Kinks and Chapelli also considered.
- Cosmic Law
- Wild Edric
- Chapelli
