Acclamation gelding, cost 100,000 gns as a yearling. Brother to three winners and most notably a half-brother to Profitable, a 7f Group 1 winner. Dam a 6f winner. Made a belated debut in April when 40/1 and always behind. Hard to fancy.
Sea The Stars gelding who showed little on debut in a bumper and on a little more last time on Flat bow at Beverley. Certainly took a step forward next over this C&D but it was a bunch finish and he never really threatened.
Raven's Pass colt, cost $7,000 as a yearling and belied his long odds when staying on well despite greenness in a hot York maiden before a very good win at Newcastle on the AW. Looked the type to improve with time and a leading player.
Kodiac gelding who cost 24,000 gns as a yearling and is from the family of Group 1 winning fillies Listen and Sequoyah. Cheap purchase given his fine pedigree and he's been well beaten at long odds in two starts. Best watched.
Price dropped by £25,000 from when he was sold as a yearling. Sent off 125/1 on last month's debut, missed the break and tailed off. Hard to make any sort of case for.
Mukhadram gelding, half-brother to three winners and dam a Listed winner. Beaten favourite when not disgraced on debut and although improvement required, this leading stable's runners tend to benefit for the run. One to note in the market.
Remains a maiden following eight starts last year and gelded ahead of reappearance. Showed some progression and best form wouldn't see him far away, however unproven at this trip and rain would be a bonus.
Well related son of Dubawi has shown clear progress in four starts so far, including two this year. Looks to be physically progressing too and only just denied in a Newmarket maiden latest that sets a clear standard. May prove hard to beat.
Son of Rock Of Gibraltar, gelded ahead of debut. Cost 80,000 gns as a yearling and a 10th foal; brother to Group 3 winner Jallota, a half-brother to six winners including Listed winner Classic Legend. Stable in form and worth a note in the betting.
35,000 gns vendor yearling. 8th foal; half-sister to five winners including Listed winner Cartimandua. Sent off 66/1 when beaten some way out on debut and very hard to see figuring.
€26,000 two-year-old, Holy Roman Emperor filly. Half-sister to useful winner up to 1m½f Cailin Mor. Slowly away and never involved on debut. Yard's runners can improve significantly for the run but huge progress needed.
Forecasts
Franz Kafka (1/2), Destination (5/2), Dream of Honour (7/1), Boston George (8/1), Followme Followyou (25/1), Ripon Spa (25/1), Caesonia (40/1), Heavenly Secret (66/1), Harry's Ridge (100/1), Broughtons Bear (150/1), Corralejo (200/1)
FRANZ KAFKA sets a very high standard and the way he's progressing with every run for leading connections makes him hard to oppose. Boston George is interesting on his reappearance as he looked potentially smart last season while better should be expected from Destination.
