On a more upward curve than many of these having posted career bests on her last two outings. Another 4lb rise for a narrow victory is not as bad as it looks given the opposition she faces.
150,000 gns son of Invincible Spirit out of a half-sister to a US Grade 1 winner. Has done little to justify his opening handicap mark and hard to know what his right trip might be.
Remains 8lb higher than when winning over 5f here last year but has been very disappointing in two starts since including on recent reappearance.
Still to build on the promise of his first two starts and first run back from a gelding operation showed no signs of improvement.
No match for an easy winner at Lingfield in February and looked a difficult ride at the same venue last time. Does not look an obvious contender, but respected as the yard's apparent number one.
Failed to deliver for Godolphin and makes handicap debut over a new trip after racing too freely last time. Hood may help and market can offer more clues.
Four starts so far and showed plenty of promise in her first two but has regressed in two runs since. Best watched in the market on reappearance.
Twice a winner last year and remains just 2lb higher. Shaped well on both starts this year and return to 5f is a positive. Each-way claims.
Kyllachy colt from a good family who was bought for 100,000gns but hasn't really progressed in five starts. Drop in trip and weights might produce a better effort if there is market support to back that up.
Finished 4L behind Arishka at Newcastle and is now 15lb better off. Jockey booking is noteworthy and he would surprise few if opening his account today.
Forecasts
Arishka (3/1), Tomahawk Ridge (4/1), Valentino Sunrise (5/1), Finch Hatton (5/1), Invincible Larne (9/1), Te Amo Te Amo (12/1), Aegean Mist (12/1), Mayfair Madame (14/1), True Belief (14/1), Turquoise Friendly (16/1)
Arishka has completed a quick double and may have more in her but TOMAHAWK RIDGE is weighted to beat her on Newcastle form and the booking of P J McDonald adds to the selection's appeal. True Belief can be fancied on the pick of his juvenile form if there is market confidence behind him, whilst Te Amo Te Amo is another to watch in trading. Valentino Sunrise has each-way claims now returning to 5f.
