GRAPEVINE'S last Flat victory was in 2016 when romping home by 10L off a higher mark than this. He has won an AW bumper more recently and was unlucky not to score on his latest start when the combination of fast ground and the Brighton camber counted against him. He is going to take all the beating here although he meets another well-handicapped rival in Cote d'Azur who would be more appealing if conditions were firmer. Lawn Ranger has shown his best form on Polytrack courses but he is better treated than on previous turf outings and could have a say if this trip proves suitable.
