Dual novice hurdle winner last summer and ran fair race in listed hurdle at Cheltenham last month. Makes chasing debut here and may play a big part if taking to the larger obstacles.
Runner-up in Hereford 2m h'cap hurdle in November and ran well on first start following wind surgery when fourth at Chepstow last month. May be straighter for the outing and should go well for top yard on chasing debut.
Very lightly raced and has clearly had issues. Returned from long absence when pulled up at Newbury in December but better last time when second at Doncaster in March over 2m3f. Drop back in trip makes sense and looks a player.
Maiden in six starts under Rules over both hurdles and fences. Got no further than first fence last time in Kempton match race last time. Yard continues in good form but looks a risky proposition.
Yet to reach a place in 11 hurdles outings both for Tim Easterby and for current handler. Rated some way behind others in this field over timber and will have to improve markedly on chasing bow to score from 4lb out of the handicap.
Forecasts
Jaboticaba (11/10), Cruiseaweigh (3/1), Grania O'Malley (4/1), Kilcara (13/2), Secret Melody (20/1)
Most of these have questions to answer but the mare GRANIA O'MALLEY has touch of class and may be able to defy top weight on her chasing debut. Cruisaweigh could prove the main danger with the drop back in trip expected to suit, while Jaboticaba may have needed the run last time and a good show is quite likely. Kilcara looks best of the other two.
- Grania O'Malley
- Cruiseaweigh
- Jaboticaba
