Solid and consistent sort won a Perth 2m4f handicap hurdle last month beating Whatmore 3L. That was the gelding second success over timber and another bold show looks likely here.
Some smart form to his name on the Flat, he was impressive when netting second hurdles win at Clonmel in January. Was slightly on his toes before a dismal effort in the Martin Pipe at the Cheltenham festival, but could be worth another chance.
Off the mark over hurdles at the eighth time of asking for connections when landing a Sligo handicap over 2m1½f last month beating Galuppi when sent off the 3/1f. May need a couple to falter.
Winner of three of his six starts over hurdles including when last seen on a British raid in August, landing a Sedgefield novice hurdle over 2m4f. Solid and consistent sort who should go well again.
Gelding by Pierre out of a Supreme Leader mare. Weakened over 3f out on debut at Cork last month to finish 56L adrift of the winner, Sneaky Getaway. Hard to place any faith in on second start.
Course winner that has also won over this trip when landing a Fairyhouse handicap chase last month. Market likely to reveal expectations on hurdling introduction.
Looked a useful sort when winning well at Galway in September. Not disgraced in a number of starts since but really needs to up her game sooner rather than later.
Forecasts
Sizing Rome (9/4), Count Simon (5/2), Daybreak Boy (11/4), Ravenhill (5/1), Mon Storm (14/1), Presentingprincess (20/1), Aloysius Parker (66/1)
Another race where trainer-Gordon Elliott holds a strong pair, with preference for the Lisa O'Neill-ridden RAVENHILL, who is winner of three starts over hurdles including when last seen in August, landing a Sedgefield novice hurdle over 2m4f. The nine-year-old can get the better of stablemate Count Simon under the adept Paddy Vaughan and the Henry De Bromhead-trained Daybreak Boy who can be forgiven appearing overwhelmed in the Martin Pipe at the Cheltenham festival .
- Ravenhill
