Has won 4-9 so far, one on turf and three AW. Gets 6f, as he showed again when narrowly beaten on his reappearance at Lingfield. Still improving and looks the one to beat here.
Scored over 6f (first-time tongue-tie) at Ripon last summer in a novice event, and followed up in an Ascot handicap from a mark of 83. Had wind surgery and switched to this yard since last seen in October. Needs to improve. Market check.
Improved for his debut to win on his second start at Newcastle (5f, AW) in November. Took another step up back there on his recent reappearance. Switches for turf debut here, but from a family of turf success, so no concerns. Needs to improve again.
Won a Leicester novice event (5f, good) on debut last year. Improved to be 2L third in Ayr Listed event (5f, heavy) when last seen in September. Open to further improvement and that proven ability when fresh is positive. Could go well.
DEPUTISE has a good strike rate and sufficient ability to win this race, with speed as well as being proven over a little further. Secret Venture looks likely to present the biggest danger to the selection, while Semoum could begin to show more improvement after wind surgery and the switch of stables.
