Won four on the bounce at Cartmel (2m1f) last summer under varying conditions; pulled up with a burst blood vessel over fences at Stratford (2m3f+) in September; raced far too freely in a competitive Class 2 handicap on return 13 days ago.
Won in this grade (2m selling handicap) at Market Rasen on Boxing Day and followed up in a 2m2½f Class 4 CJ's Handicap a few weeks later; broadly consistent in three subsequent starts.
Back to winning ways after a string of placed efforts (often in sellers) when reverting to fences at Warwick (2m, good) nine days ago; work to do with Wells De Lune at the weights, but arguably more risk-free; trainer 4-13 (31%) at Hexham.
Has mixed hurdling with chasing since scoring at Southwell (2m, soft) in February 2018; ran respectably at Perth (2m, good) last week when finishing 13L fourth to the Irish raider Oromo; stable going well of late.
12-race hurdles maiden; has struggled to make any positive impression since returning from an 18-month absence; very unlikely.
Veteran; stable star for the Saltburn handler Paul Collins; much better known for his exploits over fences - a five-timer winner from 23 starts under rules; first run over hurdles since June 2013.
Midnight Legend gelding; off the track since finishing ¾L second to Reverant Cust on hurdles debut at Newcastle (2m, heavy) in March 2017; evidently has had problems since; on balance, potentially more interesting than some.
Oscar mare; failed to beat a single rival in two starts in bumpers; blundered and unseated her rider at the second on hurdles debut at Perth (200/1) last week; look elsewhere with confidence.

Forecasts
Ardera Cross (7/4), Wells De Lune (7/2), Minella Fiveo (4/1), Contre Tous (11/2), Midnight Moss (7/1), Oscar Hoof (10/1), Dica (22/1), Leannes Lady (100/1), Byronegetonefree (150/1), Sueno Toms (250/1)
On the figures, this should be a relatively simple task for the Peter Bowen-trained Wells De Lune. However, he arrives with obvious question marks against his name after pulling like a steam-train on his return to action in a 2m Class 2 handicap at Plumpton (good) just under a fortnight ago. Therefore, a safer option is the exposed 8yo ARDERA CROSS who is a regular in these type of events (holds Oscar Hoof) and was back to winning ways over fences at Warwick (2m, good) recently. Furthermore, the unexposed (yet clearly troubled) Midnight Moss is worth keeping an eye upon moving forward.
