Maisons-Laffitte Listed win last April the highlight of his four successes for previous connections when based in France. Hasn't repeated that since returned to Britain, although not given a hard time in Abernant Stakes on return. Needs more.

Admirable performer who seems to go on any ground and won in impressive fashion on return to turf over C&D in March. Ran well when a close third at Pontefract last time, and sure to do his level best again.

Useful handicapper who won on his debut last year off a mark of 100 at Newmarket (6f, good) for Ed Walker. Winless since, and better effort for new yard when fourth of 6 at Thirsk last time. Retains his ability, but rather frustrating in truth.

Ended last season in fine fettle with a couple of wins and a narrow loss, but still 11lb above his last winning mark, and hasn't returned in much for this season.

Notched a third 7f York win when scoring over 7f there in July, and solid efforts in defeat subsequently, Found things happening too quick for him when fifth over C&D on final start, and that would be the concern again.

Without a win since 2017, but still 1lb higher than his last success, after some soliod efforts in defeat last teram. Just a fair fifth of 6 to Teruntum Star at Beverley last time, although not knocked about, and should be sharper now.

Yet to win over this trip, although ran well when second in Shergar Cup Sprint at Ascot. Won twice at Ripon last year, but didn't achieve a great deal there on his return, albeit badly drawn as it transpired.

Had no chance with speedball Kachy at Chester on final 2018 start, but largely below his best last year, and resumes with stable struggling for winners in this sphere.

Ran respectably when sixth to Foolaad over C&D on his return, but boiled over and ran badly at Newmarket last time. Debatable whether a first-time visor is the answer, although capable of taking a hand if back to his best.

Almost exactly two years since his last win, but hinted at a revival on first start since leaving David Barron when beaten narrowly by Foolaad over C&D in March. Weighted to take revenge now.

Down the field behind Foolaad here on return, and ran a similar race at Newmarket last month. May benefit from a return to 7f, and others more appealing here.

Won at Carlisle in August, and ran with credit when second in Bronze Cup at Ayr on penultimate start. Possibly feeling effects of that run in the mud when well below form at York on final 2018 outing, but not out of this if back on song.

Both of his wins have come over 6f on a sound surface. Fourth in a Listed race at Maisons-Laffitte (6½f) on his penultimate 2018 start, and had excuses (met interference) when down the field on return at Thirsk. May do better.

Forecast

Danielsflyer (7/2), Royal Residence (5/1), Fille De Reve (5/1), Foolaad (8/1), Get Knotted (10/1), Roundhay Park (10/1), Wentworth Falls (11/1), Aeolus (11/1), Tommy Taylor (12/1), Triggered (12/1), Von Blucher (14/1), Captain Colby (20/1), Time's Arrow (25/1), Sir Maximilian (33/1)

Verdict

FILLE DE REVE had excuses on her final start last year, and was better than the result when scoring her second win over this trip at Ascot last September, and she remains unexposed as a sprinter. She may have too much scope for the admirable Foolaad, who will doubtless give his running again. Danielsflyer was behind Foolaad here in March, but looked unlucky and is weighted to turn the tables, so may give the selection most to do.
  1. Fille De Reve
  2. Danielsflyer
  3. Foolaad
