Half-brother to Breton Rock just lasted home on Kempton debut (7f). The form amounts to little but he showed a good attitude and is open to improvement if settling better.
Failed to finish in two hurdle races last year and pulled up in a 2m4f point-to-point on good-to-soft ground in March. Tailed off on Flat debut last weekend and likely to be out of his depth here.

Sister to 6f winner Okikoki and several other decent types in her pedigree on the dam's side; yard quiet just now and little to take from her debut a month ago.

Managed to beat a couple home last time which was an improvement on her first two starts, but she remains a long way below the standard that would be expected to win this.

First Defence gelded half-brother to Irish Listed/US Grade 3 winner Postulation. Yard had a winning three-year-old debutant at Newmarket in Craven week so worth a check in the betting.

Gelded son of Delegator related to a winning miler. Yard capable of getting one ready first time and this is not a strong race.

Sets the standard on his first two starts, but that would not be insurmountable to a decent newcomer. Will be fitter for his Newmarket return and worth checking how the market views his rivals.

Mawatheeq filly has looked very backward when finishing well in rear on both her starts to date. Impossible to recommend.

Half-sister to 1m2f winner Sweet Charity. Big price and always in rear on both starts and signs of temperament last time.

Forecasts

Sassoon (5/4), Nahham (2/1), Regal Lilly (10/3), Aegeus (4/1), Haadef (5/1), Sari Mareis (33/1), Just Martha (50/1), Lilly's Legacy (50/1), Lily Jean (66/1), Test Valley (150/1), Double Coffee (150/1), Jazzameer (150/1)

Verdict

This will take little winning and it would come as no surprise if any of the newcomers, such as Regal Lilly, Aegeus or Haadef, proved good enough. The former makes most appeal on pedigree and her yard have a good record at this track with this age group. Nahham is an expensive purchase who made a winning debut in a poor race and he looks vulnerable under his penalty. SASSOON has ordinary form to date but it may still be good enough to land this given he looked green last year and he has the benefit of a recent run.
  1. Sassoon
  2. Regal Lilly
  3. Nahham
