Hasn't won since his second start but had some smart and generally consistent form as a juvenile including a fifth in the Windsor Castle. Tailed off on return but ought to be happier in this company on faster ground.
Brighton winner who has won since on AW and has also finished second here. Finished well to take second on return and clearly he has wintered well after a gelding operation. Up 3lb but that looks manageable given the apparent improvement.
Off the mark at Maison-Laffitte over 6f on very soft ground on his 11th start as a juvenile. Not beaten far on next three starts and no surprise if he was feeling the effects of a busy campaign last time.
Forecasts
Tinto (5/2), Reticent Angel (7/2), Whataguy (4/1), Tin Hat (11/2), Dark Shadow (8/1), Champion Brogie (8/1), Autumn Splendour (66/1)
TINTO arrives for his with fewer questions to answer regarding his wellbeing and proven on fast ground around on this track. There is little to choose between him and Reticent Angel on recent Kempton form, but of the pair he has the most worthwhile form on turf. Whataguy has not been seen for 10 months, but his juvenile achievements are more than good enough to make him one to fear if the market signals he is ready
