Has won several times between the flags, and also landed a hunter chase at Cork in November, but rather disappointing since, and below his best at that venue on latest start. Now tried in cheekpieces.

Age: 14|  Weight: 11-12| J: Mr B O Walsh(7)| T: P Maher| OR:  84| C
16/1
Veteran who is a regular here, often running twice at this meeting, although only win came in this corresponding event in 2017 (also runner-up twice in six previous runs in the race). Not at best recently, but folly to ignore given his record.
3
Horse silk
33/1
A three-time winner in point-to-points, but has struggled in that sphere recently, and rules record is poor, pulling up on all five starts over regulation fences.
4
Horse silk
8/1
Dual point-to-point winner, and not disgraced in face of a stiff task when 36L seventh of 16 to Josies Orders in P P Hogan Memorial on chasing debut here. Experience of banks course here is a positive, so he's not taken lightly.

11/2
Visored when runner-up in this race last year when also placed in the P P Hogan here. Well held on return behind Ucello Conti, but back to form in point-to-point field last time, and should give a good account in a change of headgear.

Horse silk
16/1
Out of a half-sister to banks legend Spot Thedifference. Only third to Carrignagapple at Cork on chase debut, and ran a stinker on his latest point-to-point outing after a break. May be fitter now, but easy to have reservations.
7
Horse silk
66/1
Recent record of this winning pointer makes grim reading, completing only once in three hunter chase outings, and falling on his last two starts between the flags. Plenty to prove.
Runner-up twice in maiden point-to-points this month, but overall record in that discipline now reads 0-14 which tempers enthusiasm, and lack of experience under Rules is a negative.

Age: 9|  Weight: 11-7| J: Mr L J McGuinness(7)| T: N Slevin| OR:  100
14/1
Best recent effort when third of 10 to Burning Ambition in hunter at Down Royal in March, but may be flattered by that, and well held in P P Hogan Memorial over this course in February.
Poor form at best under Rules, and only point-to-point success in 21 starts came in a maiden over three years ago. Well beaten when runner-up last time, and makes little appeal here.

Troll D'Oudairiesb151
Age: 12|  Weight: 11-7| J: Mr J C Barry(5)| T: D G Murphy| OR:  107
66/1
Veteran who has won once from 52 starts in the pointing field and under NH Rules, and comes here having failed to complete in two of his last three outings.
12
Horse silk
20/1
Poor record in point-to-points, but good fifth in this race last year on Rules debut, and fourth in similar events on next two starts, albeit not threatening. Well beaten in a hunter chase in January, but should be happier back in this discipline.

Age: 7|  Weight: 11-7| J: Mr D O'Connor| T: E Bolger| BF
4/5
Had some useful form in maiden hurdles, and won on point-to-point debut. Made favourite for hunter chase at Cork (3m, heavy) in November 2017, but failed to stay in the conditions. Off since, and retains plenty of scope.
14
Horse silk
16/1
Well-beaten sixth of 10 to My Hometown in Risk of Thunder Chase over C&D in November, and pulled up in a point-to-point the following month. In good hands (yard has won this twice in recent years) but may need more time.
15
Horse silk
66/1
Poor Flat handicapper and maiden pointer who makes very little appeal on cross-country debut.
16
Horse silk
100/1
Court Cave mare who has been third in a couple of point-to-points, but pulled up between the flags last time, and faces a stiff task on Rules bow.
17
Horse silk
Millview Stormt1415
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-0| J: Mr J Hurley(7)| T: B Mortell
100/1
Of little account in point-to-point arena, pulling up eight times in 11 stats, and looks a most unlikely winner now switching disciplines.

Forecasts

Youcannotbeserious (4/5), Blue Templar (11/2), Ballinasilla (8/1), Like A Demon (14/1), Enniskillen (16/1), Different Spot (16/1), Carrignagapple (16/1), An Rinceoir Alainn (16/1), Vital Island (20/1), Fiddler Of Dooney (33/1), Baily Fox (33/1), Singing Banjo (50/1), Donjon (66/1), Any Time (66/1), Troll D'Oudairies (66/1), Millview Storm (100/1), Light Bulb (100/1)

Verdict

Enda Bolger holds a strong hand here. Not only does he saddle last year's narrow runner-up BLUE TEMPLAR, who gets a narrow verdict, but he has another couple of lightly-raced sorts, the pick of whom is point-to-point winner Youcannotbeserious, who is much better than he could show on his debut over regular fences. Enniskillen is making a remarkable 14th appearance at this meeting, and it would be a hugely popoular result if he could add to a decent record in this race, which he's been second in twice as well as winning in 2017.
  1. Blue Templar
  2. Youcannotbeserious
  3. Enniskillen
