Positive return to action at Lingfield last month when third of nine in a 1m handicap. Runs off the same mark and should be sharper as she switches back to turf.
Long way short of her best when 11th of 12 at Lingfield recently. That came on the back of some solid efforts which included wins at Kempton and Lingfield, so no surprise if she bounces back to form returning to turf.
Bolted up in a C&D maiden last summer, but failed to build on that in two subsequent handicaps. Inching down the weights and may be inspired by return to this venue.
Winner over 1m2f at Kempton in November, but has not been the same force since, latterly when fitted in cheekpieces at the same venue. The headgear is left off this time and record of 2-4 on turf lends encouragement for her chance
On quite a long, losing streak and last run at Doncaster in the autumn was underwhelming. Handicap mark continues to fall so she may pop up at some stage.
Heavy-ground Haydock winner over 1m in October and latest sixth of 18 over 1m2f at Newbury was a solid effort. Down 2lb and drop in distance may suit.
No victory since August, 2017, but neck second to Villette at Newmarket on final start of last season suggested that may be set to change. Up 3lb, but has solid each-way claims if ready to go after her winter break.
All but one of her eight runs have been on the AW, including a close second of seven at Wolverhampton last month. No reason why she should not be effective on turf and, as an in-form filly, enters calculations.
Back-to-back wins at Haydock and Yarmouth last summer and, despite going up in the weights, she ran well to be placed in two subsequent runs. Seasonal reappearance on career-high mark, but has to be considered.
Pleasing return to action when fourth of 19 over 7f at Doncaster last month. A 1lb drop in the handicap looks lenient, but both her victories have been achieved over shorter.
Forecasts
Existential (7/2), Madeleine Bond (5/1), Time For A Toot (13/2), Daddies Girl (8/1), Black Lotus (8/1), Villette (9/1), Queen Penn (10/1), Hateya (11/1), Yusra (12/1), Toy Theatre (20/1)
Hateya and Toy Theatre have earned their big weights and should go well along with the closely-matched Villette and Madeleine Bond. However, the interesting one is EXISTENTIAL, who bolted up over C&D last summer and may be inspired by her return to this venue off a feasible mark. Queen Penn, Black Lotus, Yusra and Time For A Toot will also have their supporters in an open handicap.
- Existential
- Madeleine Bond
- Villette
