Back from a short break when fifth of nine over this C&D last month. That was his best effort for some time and he has prospects off 3lb lower.
Hinted at ability in three AW starts last year. First run in a handicap after undergoing wind surgery and is one to note in the betting.
Won a C&D handicap in November, but went up 4lb to this mark and has finished out of the frame in two subsequent outings. Might need some assistance from the handicapper.
Scored over C&D last summer, but two runs this year have been disappointing. Back down to a fair mark, but needs to show more.
Approaching the veteran stage, but showed the fire still burns when close third over an extended mile at this venue recently. Drop in trip not ideal, however.
Irish import who was having his first run for this yard when beaten quite a long way in a 1m maiden at Southwell at the start of this month. Worth a check in the betting on handicap debut.
Scored over 5f at Newcastle in December, but has not been able to add to that win off higher marks. No evidence to suggest this longer trip is what he needs.
Last of 11 over C&D a week ago, but had previously shaped well at Lingfield off 1lb higher. Chance if able to return to that earlier form, but the visor he wore on that occasion is left off.
Stopped in her run when going well at this venue last time and eventually finished 11th of 12. Competes off the same mark and should go well granted better luck.
No wins in 10 starts, but may soon be able to put that right judged on his recent fourth of 12, beaten only 1L, over C&D. That was his first run since September so he is likely to have come on for it and is 1lb lower.
Ran a fair race to be sixth of 12 over C&D on last start, but most of his form is over 6f. Feasibly weighted and could go well.
Well beaten in two runs for this stable at Southwell after joining from Richard Guest's yard. May do better at this venue with cheekpieces fitted for the first time.
Forecasts
Bouclier (3/1), Rockesbury (7/2), Muraadef (5/1), Spiritual Star (8/1), Shamlan (10/1), Bigshotte (14/1), Warning Light (14/1), Showdance Kid (20/1), Astraea (20/1), Indian Affair (22/1), Little Miss Daisy (28/1), Another Situation (66/1)
Little Miss Daisy was unlucky last time and gets the chance to make amends, but preference is for MURAADEF, who shaped well over C&D after a lay-off last time and may be able to build on that display. Others to consider include handicap debutants Bigshotte and Warning Light.
- Muraadef
- Little Miss Daisy
- Bigshotte
