Fair reappearance run when fourth of 11 over 5f at this venue. Return to this longer distance ought to suit and stable has been among the winners.
Finished strongly to land two C&D contests last month. More to do off this higher mark, but is on the upgrade and clearly thrives on this surface.
Good return to action when third at Newcastle, but not so effective switched to turf at Ripon. Should be happier back on the AW and first-time cheekpieces might induce some improvement.
Unplaced in three runs over 7f and 1m at Kempton in the autumn, but displayed plenty of promise. Returns from her winter break to run in her first handicap over a shorter trip and fitted with cheekpieces.
Winner of a 7f nursery at this venue in September, but has been held at Chelmsford in two runs this year off higher marks. Has form over this shorter distance, but is more exposed than most of her rivals. Blinkered for the first time.
Successful in a 7f maiden at this venue last summer. Ran as though a drop in trip was needed on seasonal reappearance at Windsor earlier this month and 2lb lower mark should help, too.
Unplaced, but not without promise, in three 7f AW novice contests this year. Tries a shorter distance on handicap debut and is one to keep a close eye on in the betting.
Landed a small race on turf at Catterick in the autumn, but has failed to hit the frame in three contests since, latterly on her return over 7f at this venue. Quite keen on that occasion so this shorter trip may help.
Forecasts
Second Collection (6/4), Jungle Juice (6/1), Tie A Yellowribbon (13/2), Abanica (7/1), Rainbow Girl (15/2), Diva D (9/1), Di Matteo (14/1), Lexington Palm (50/1)
Di Matteo is interesting on handicap debut and the in-form Second Collection has to be respected, but the vote goes to top-weight RAINBOW GIRL, whose stable has been going well and whose opening handicap mark looks fair. Tie A Yellowribbon, Abanica and Diva D are tried in headgear so improvement could be on the cards.
- Rainbow Girl
- Second Collection
- Di Matteo
