16,000gns yearling. Brother to 5f Fibresand winner Gustavo Fring and half-brother to two other winners from 6f-1m, out of an unraced dam. Ran on to some effect late on during Pontefract debut over 6f recently and should have more to come.

By Equiano, cost €10,000 as a two-year-old; dam placed at 5f on the AW as a juvenile. Didn't show a lot on recent AW bow at Southwell. Plenty to work on for now.

A €26,000 two-year-old, Holy Roman Emperor filly. Half-sister to useful winner up to 1m½f Cailin Mor. Much-respected for top connections on first start.

Second start and better effort this month at Pontefract (6f, good to soft; 25/1) when possibly shaping as though he'll be sharper for the run after four months off.

Filly with experience after eight runs, though not exactly looking progressive to this point. Returns from a break and needs to have found a bit extra.

Lightly-raced filly, went close on handicap debut at Lingfield (6f, AW; 8-1) in March, though raised 4lb for that and held there since off this mark. Needs to break better.

Forecasts

Lucky Number (7/4), In Trutina (3/1), Obee Jo (7/2), Pinarella (4/1), Sussudio (5/1), Followme Followyou (8/1), Reasoned (12/1), Sharp Breath (18/1), Mea Culpa (28/1), Manzoni (33/1), Dream House (50/1), Torque Of The Town (66/1)

Verdict

Lucky Number is an interesting newcomer for William Haggas, who is always to be noted with such a contender at this track but, given this a weak-looking race, it might be worth siding instead with IN TRUTINA. She's related to a couple of winner and, while not costing as much as some of these, she does represent the red-hot stable of Archie Watson. Obee Jo and Followme Followyou are other worth paying some attention.
  1. In Trutina
