Not beaten far when fifth in modest mile event at Newcastle in February and was outpaced inside final 2f over this trip back there last time. Type to do better once contesting handicaps.
Modest performer whose only real form came when close fourth on penultimate start off mark of 46 in Newcastle 7f h'cap in December. Well beaten since and makes little appeal on these terms.
No Nay Never colt cost 130,000 guineas as a yearling and amde winning start over 6f at Kempton earlier this year when scoring in style. Disappointing fifth there only susbequent start and may not have seen out 7f. Interesting though on turf bow.
50,000 guineas Charm Spirit gelding who showed promise when third on debut over 6f at Newcastle in October then did even better when beaten just a neck by 89-rated rival at Chelmsford following month. Seasonal return but has decent claims.
Invincible Spirit gelding made €200,000 as a yearling. Fair fourth on debut at Chelmsford last month over 7f and not disgraced when eighth at Newmarket recently in much better race. Should be thereabouts.
100,000 guineas Shamardal colt, half-brother to Group 1-winning sprinter Regal Parade. Green when runner-up but comfortably held by potentially decent rival at Chelmsford four weeks ago and should know more now. Represents top yard.
Slade Power gelding cost 70,000 guineas. Dam won at up to 1m4f. Mixed messages on trip from pedigree and yard just 1-23 at this venue but capable of having them ready first time so any market interest would be noteworthy.
Never dangerous in two 7f events last autumn showing some signs of ability. Plenty of stamina on dam's side so more than likely to do better once handicapped and racing beyond a mile.
Debut for full-brother to talented middle-distance handicapper Titus but cost just 7,500 guineas at February Sales. Makes debut for yard going through a fairly quiet spell and may need more time.
Alhebayeb filly who belied 33/1 odds on debut at Pontefract recently when close fifth in 6 f novice stakes. Stayed on well near finish so extra furlong should suit and has solid each-way claims.
Bungle Inthejungle filly makes her racecorse bow. Dam won at up to 1m2f. Yard not known for first time out winners so on balance others are much preferred.

Quite a puzzle, but in the hope he will have benefitted from a fair debut effort, Mark Johnston's KING SHAMARDAL is a tentative choice. Grey Berry shaped with promise on her recent debut at Pontefract and can do better upped in trip so is feared, as too is Brandy Spirit who makes his seasonal return have done well in both starts as a juvenile. This is easier than the task faced by Global Gift at HQ, while if he can bounce back from a disappointing run last time, Eardley Road would have every chance.
