40,000 gns son of Paco Boy. Related to winners at 5f-7f and the dam won two races. Has shown little in either start and this looks an even harder test.
Had the run of the race when trying to justify market support on reappearance and just foiled by a fitter rival. Finished clear of the rest and now makes AW debut. There are AW winners in his pedigree and the stable took this last year.
Sent off favourite on debut last backend when showing signs of greenness before finishing a promising second. Should have little difficulty confirming the promise and the owner/trainer's three-year-olds have been going well.
150,000 gns son of Invincible Spirit out of a half-sister to a US Grade 1 winner. Showed signs of ability over inadequate trips last year, but possibly pitched in too high on return to action.
Shamardal filly who is the first foal of a Listed winning half-sister to Frankel. Striking pedigree but the yard's three-year-olds do tend to come on greatly for a run.
Created a good impression here on debut but a much less favourable one at Newcastle. Has a good pair of hands to steer her but she looks a risk given that latest outing.
Forecasts
Hero Hero (4/6), Jubiloso (11/4), Dominus (8/1), Ice Cave (9/1), Maid For Life (33/1), Invincible Larne (100/1), Magical Ride (100/1)
The Kingpower/De Sousa combination are 11-16 with three-year-olds this term and HERO HERO will be fancied to enhance that record further. His debut was full of promise and he will undoubtedly have learnt a lot for the experience. Dominus is the obvious threat given an AW pedigree and market confidence ahead of his reappearance. Ice Cave and Jubiloso have impeccable bloodlines and add to the intrigue for a race that should throw up future winners.
