First run on this surface and not seen out on the Flat since winning an apprentices race at Roscommon in September 2017; has gone well when fresh so one to keep tabs on in the betting despite this being his tapeta debut.
Won with a bit in hand under this same rider last time out and has to be respected despite the 7lb higher mark. The fitting of blinkers is noteworthy and the gelding could be worth another shot in this company.
Consistent at a modest level and has some decent enough course form to merit serious consideration. Posted a solid effort at Redcar last time and can go close again from just a 1lb higher mark.
Won on his first attempt over 1m4f at Newcastle last year and is still lightly raced and thus open to a bit more improvement. Gelded since his last run the four-year-old makes plenty of appeal on these terms.
Acts well on this surface and been placed over C&D before now. However, he's been out of action for a while and has a good bit to prove as he reverts to the Flat for a new yard.
Won well over C&D last time and has a feasible chance from just a 3lb higher mark. Not stood much racing in recent times and first time out was the right time to catch the mare last year. Risk attached with the bounce factor to figure.
Won over hurdles at Sedgefield earlier this month and has to be of interest back in this sphere so quickly after that run. However, his previous AW form is patchy and he finished last on his only previous visit to this track.
Lightly raced and showed ability on UK debut when second over C&D last month; this isn't much tougher but the gelding does need to take another step forward. (Previous form in Germany is hard to evaluate in the context of this race.)
A versatile mare who has gone up just 6lb for two recent wins (the first of which came over C&D) and remains in good heart. Needs to put in a career best but a bold effort is not ruled out.
C&D winner last summer but mixed form of late and needs to better the level of her latest start. The return to this course can help but needs a lot to go her way.
Goes well here but has a big question to answer regarding her stamina; others make more appeal in a competitive heat like this.
C&D winner on his return form a break last year but has struggled to add to his tally since and is another that needs to be at the top of his game despite and attractive handicap mark.
Forecasts
Dream Magic (3/1), Champagne Rules (9/2), Power Home (5/1), Ebqaa (13/2), Para Mio (8/1), Enmeshing (8/1), Movie Star (10/1), Raashdy (20/1), Boychick (25/1), Raven's Raft (33/1), Collodi (33/1), Lost History (50/1)
A tough one to call as several make plenty of appeal... not least PARA MIO who is open to a bit more improvement than most and would be dangerous to underestimate. Dream Magic won well last time out and could also have a bit left to offer, while betting support for the consistent Champagne Rules would also be tempting. Lost History is another to bear in mind if he attracts interest on his return to the Flat for a new trainer.
- Para Mio
- Dream Magic
- Champagne Rules
