Used to have a decent strike rate over hurdles but those stats have taken a bit of a hit in a couple of disappointing efforts last month. First time blinkers unlikely to bring about the required amount of improvement needed to play a role here.
Distance winner of a Thurles maiden hurdle in January before finding the step in to novice company too much when finishing seventh of nine last month at Limerick. Others preferred for win purposes.
Winner of one of his nine start over hurdles but has hit the frame on a further six occasions. Ran well in defeat at Clonmel on Thursday and is worthy of consideration on a quick return for inform yard.
In good form last summer including wins at Down Royal and Limerick for trainer Henry De Bromhead. Never been the easiest to catch right and best watched on stable debut.
Off the mark in a maiden at Thurles prior to finding 2m4f beyond him here in February when beaten over 15L finishing fifth of 14 on good to yielding ground. Any market move would be worth noting dropping back down in trip.

80-rated handicapper on the Flat who won at Cork on good ground earlier this month. Without a win over hurdles but was not disgraced in a Leopardstown maiden behind Klassical Dream in December. Worthy of consideration on handicap debut.

Eight race maiden without a win over hurdles in seven starts including a 61L defeat last month in a Down Royal novice maiden hurdle over 2m5½f. Still looking no nearer to breakthrough success.
Modest 55-rated handicapper on the Flat winning last start on a Bath raid over in a 1m6f contest in September. Has hit the frame on a couple of occasions in four starts over hurdles and can go well here without troubling the judge.
Well held when down the field in a number of disappointing hurdle spins since April last year and a 54L when last seen in December. Hard to make a case for the Presenting gelding on form to hand.
Made very little impact in all three of his previous starts over hurdles and needs to step things up considerably.

Wide open contest to open up proceedings which could go to the Tony Martin- trained THE MOUSE DOCTOR for a yard who have a consistent record in handicap hurdle at this meeting in the last four years. The trainer also runs, Acclamatio and Mr Jacaranda who are worth a check in the market. Jon Ess was not disgraced in a Leopardstown maiden behind Supreme novices hurdle winner Klassical Dream in December and could emerge as the biggest danger, while Quantatmental for champion hurdle winning yard of Gavin Cromwell and Pairc Na Ngael are worthy of consideration.
