€14,000 purchase by Gold Well; bred to be a chaser; always in rear on debut at Fontwell in February and similar level next when 14th of 15 at Wincanton. Can't be fancied here.
Son of Kayf Tara only beaten 4¾L when third of six at Exeter on debut and looking one for longer distances in the future. That said he has first rate claims in a small race like this and is expected to land the odds.
Cost €90,000 at two and showed ability when fifth of 12 at Wincaton on debut in March although he was beaten 18½L. Hood added today and will have learned plenty there so could be the main danger to Southfield Harvest.
SOUTHFIELD HARVEST is the only one of these to get competitive in a race and the form of his Exeter third alone may be good enough although he will surely improve for it. Stolen Silver showed enough on debut to be suggested as second best with Piggy Winkle the more fancied of the two debutants.
