Course winner that has also won over the trip. The gelding is one from six over the larger obstacles and was well behind in the Grade 3 Grand Annual at the festival when blundering at the fourth last before eventually being pulled up. Place claims.
Has improved since switching to fences and followed up a respectable effort in a Limerick Grade 1 contest with a Punchestown novice chase success in February. Refused to settle in the Close Brothers at the festival before falling at the sixth.
Won on chase debut here over 2m5f and made it two wins from five starts over fences in a Leopardstown handicap in February. Below par run in the Close Brothers at the festival can be forgiven and is worth another chance here.
Without a win in eight starts over the larger obstacles but has shown plenty of promise to hit the frame on four occasions. Fifth of 13 beaten 19L on latest start at Naas in February but improved effort would not surprise.
Has shown smart form since going chasing and despite failing to add to opening win at Punchestown in October. Finished a couple of lengths ahead of Impact Factor at Naas when last seen in February and worth a market check for notable trainer/jockey.
One from seven over fences and is not the most fluent jumper but has the latent ability to play a big part with a clear round though has never been the easiest to catch right.
Has been kept busy since the turn of the year and has raced with plenty of enthusiasm on a number of occasions without getting his head in front. Third of 10 in a Limerick beginners contest last month but will need to up his game here.
Got off the mark at the 10th time of asking for connections when landing the odds in a Clonmel beginners contest in February before grabbing his second win at Leopardstown last month winning by 9L. Entitled to make the shortlist.
Put a number of poor performances behind him when landing a Tramore beginners chase in December and has mainly been running consistently since bar a hiccup at Gowran Park in January. Needs a couple to falter.
