40/1
Career best effort when making all to land a Listed event at Saint Cloud on latest run in September. Now makes AW debut and 3lb penalty from the widest draw demands a bit more.

Agrotera204
Age: 4|  Weight: 9-0| J: G Mosse| T: E Walker| OR:  102| D
7/2
Landed gamble in Sandringham Handicap at Royal Ascot and probably bettered that form when narrowly beaten in Listed event at Longchamp in September. Tactically versatile and solid claims if ready to go for first run of the campaign.

Anna Nerium181
Age: 4|  Weight: 9-0| J: Tom Marquand| T: R Hannon| OR:  108
10/1
Came to hand early last season when winning the Free Handicap and went to land a Group 3 in August for which she escapes a penalty. Both those were at 7f but proved she stays this far with second at Epsom in June. Clear form chance. AW debut.

Winning debut over C&D in December but pulled too hard when beaten at Newcastle since and needs to learn to settle better in this stronger company.

Contrive138
Age: 4|  Weight: 9-0| J: David Egan| T: R Varian| OR:  91| CD

Rapidly improved since switched to AW last season and showed excellent attitude when landing handicaps last three starts. This demands more but may have more to come on this surface and with the yard in tremendous form, shouldn't be dismissed.

Age: 4|  Weight: 9-0| J: M Dwyer| T: D K Ivory| CD

Beat subsequent winners when making winning debut over C&D in November. More to come but this is a big step up in class at this stage of her career.

Won both starts on the AW prior to good second in the Musidora Stakes at York in May. Stiff tasks after but form tailed off after that so bit to prove on comeback run.

Preening240
Age: 4|  Weight: 9-0| J: David Probert| T: J R Fanshawe| OR:  97| CD

Placed in similar events last summer after handicap win and although she has a bit to find on the book, is the type to improve again and did win on her only start on this surface.

Queen of Time161
Age: 5|  Weight: 9-0| J: Harry Bentley| T: H Candy| OR:  98| D

Placed efforts at this level last season but hasn't won since the summer of 2017 and stiff task on from wide draw.

Rawdaa196
Age: 4|  Weight: 9-0| J: R L Moore| T: Sir Michael Stoute| OR:  96| D
9/2
Improved at three and finished her season with a comfortable win in valuable fillies handicap over 1m2f. Beaten at 1/12 only previous AW start (Wolverhampton) but the type her handler does do well with and has been given Group 2 entries next month.

Savaanah181
Age: 4|  Weight: 9-0| J: S De Sousa| T: H & R Charlton| OR:  95| D

Graduated from pair of handicap wins at three and best effort when just touched off by Shepherd Market in France. Weighted to reverse that form and a player on the pick of her form.

Shenanigans161
Age: 5|  Weight: 9-0| J: Andrea Atzeni| T: R Varian| OR:  96| D
10/1
Runner up in this last year and although some decent efforts after, slightly disappointing she wasn't able to build on her 2017 successes. Clearly goes well fresh however, and can't be ruled out with stable having such a good run.

Tiger Eye35
Age: 4|  Weight: 9-0| J: Oisin Murphy| T: J R Fanshawe| OR:  91

Raced solely at 7f on the AW. Improved with each start and impressive in handicap latest. This rise in class clearly demands more but improving fast and worth her place in this company.

Vivianite176
Age: 4|  Weight: 9-0| J: L Morris| T: A Watson| OR:  92| D
33/1
Best run at Naas in October is short of what's required to take this but joined Archie Watson after she was sold for 160,000 gns since last seen and worth a look in market.

Forecasts

Agrotera (7/2), Tiger Eye (7/2), Rawdaa (9/2), Preening (10/1), Shenanigans (10/1), Anna Nerium (10/1), Contrive (16/1), Savaanah (20/1), Dancing Brave Bear (20/1), Queen of Time (20/1), Daddy's Daughter (20/1), Astonished (20/1), Vivianite (33/1), Shepherd Market (40/1)

Verdict

Plenty in with a chance in another cracking contest and the well drawn RAWDAA, who didn't see the track until July, is just the type to improve again this season and gets a narrow vote. Plenty of dangers and the list is headed by Anna Nerium who came to hand early last year, while Tiger Eye is on a roll and can't be dismissed easily.
  1. Rawdaa
  2. Anna Nerium
  3. Tiger Eye
