Returned to fences last time out at Ayr after a short productive spell over hurdles to record his sixth win for this yard. A big improver for this trainer after looking a real rascal for his previous handler; up 8lb takes him to a career-high mark.
Trainer does a good job rebuilding this type and he's shown mostly sound form since being under her care. Scored twice over fences and got back on the up last time only losing out to an unexposed sort; should make the most of the weight concession.
Yet to win a race with his form when last seen looking to be of a regressive rather than progressive nature. Given a tough task on his chasing debut (modest in point-to-points); has to run from 19lb out of the handicap.
Forecasts
Peppay Le Pugh (5/6), Wishfull Dreaming (1/1), Friary Gold (11/1)
Only three runners and unless there are any mishaps it looks as though Friary Gold is booked for third spot leaving an intriguing contest between one if the improvers of the season in handicaps PEPPAY LE PUGH and Wishfull Dreaming who appears to have his mojo back for this yard. The former of that duo has now shot up in the handicap for the Dan Skelton yard from a mark of 93 to 135 arriving on the back of his sixth win of the season. The Sam England challenger still looks well weighted on his old form but he may just have to give best here despite receiving a pound shy of a stone in the handicap.
- Peppay Le Pugh
- Wishfull Dreaming
- Friary Gold
