Gained a first win since debut at Dundalk last time, scoring in impressive fashion and placed in Group 2 company as a juvenile. Widest draw a big negative over this trip but hard to rule out if he gets some luck in running.

Career best at Newcastle last time when stepped back up to this trip and the form of that race has been boosted subsequently. Perhaps flattered by being held up off a strong pace though and hard to pull off similar tactics over this C&D.

Has looked progressive on AW and only narrowly denied in Listed class here last time. Strength of that form looks questionable though and a wide draw here demands another career best.

Has three wins from four on AW and held on gamely at Wolverhampton last time out. Three of the runners in behind have come out and won since, so while he has a bit to find on official ratings, it would be no surprise to see him get competitive.

Won a Class 5 novice event on final start as a juvenile but he's failed to improve on that in two Wolverhampton starts this year. May have done too much too soon last time out but still has a fair amount to find in this company.

Won twice as a juvenile and returned this year with a win having had wind surgery in the interim. Hasn't managed to build on that subsequently though and has plenty to find on official ratings. Booking of Moore a plus.

Has won four of his eight starts, a Listed race at Chantilly last time a career best effort over an extended 6f. Down in trip on a sharp track not guaranteed to suit but clearly going the right way at present.

Prolific as a juvenile but his progress has halted somewhat and well beaten here last month when too keen to be seen to best effect; has a bit to prove for now.

Has plenty to find on ratings and his very best form has come at Southwell over 5f. Well beaten at Nottingham last time and hard to envisage him getting competitive in this.

Well beaten on each of his three starts this campaign. A return to AW is in his favour but has plenty to find on all known form and wide draw an obvious negative to his chance.

Impressive when winning by 5L at Newcastle on AW debut in November but hasn't managed to build on that. Respectable third in Listed class last over C&D but more needed to be involved here. Wears first-time blinkers.

Surprise 40/1 winner at Wolverhampton in January but that came in a Class 4 and she failed to back that run up next time. Has been seen at her best when aloud to dominate and has a good draw for that at least, but hard to fancy on all known form.

Forecasts

Pizzicato (11/4), Deputise (9/2), Deep Intrigue (5/1), Concierge (7/1), James Street (8/1), Charming Kid (8/1), Quiet Endeavour (8/1), You Never Can Tell (20/1), Fares Kodiac (33/1), Yolo Again (50/1), Shining Armor (50/1), Sandridge Lad (100/1)

Verdict

CHARMING KID is the tentative selection after his facile success at Dundalk last time out and while he has a wide draw to contend with, there's very little else against him here. William Haggas has enjoyed success at this meeting and Deputise looks like a live player while French raider Pizzicato can't be ruled out if handling the drop back to this trip.
  1. Charming Kid
  2. Deputise
  3. Pizzicato
