Off the mark for connections at the seventh time of asking in a Navan 1m2f handicap off a 17lb lower mark winning in facile fashion. Not to be taken lightly.
Not won since 2017 but ended 2018 with possibly his best run since when second over 1m4f at Dundalk. Ran well in defeat when badly hampered on seasonal debut at Leopardstown earlier this month. Has the form to make a bold bid.
Solid and consistent on the AW at Dundalk, winning there in November. Beaten favourite sixth of 12 when last seen in January at the same venue. Without a win in five starts on turf and likely to find it tough going here.
Distance winner of a Beverley handicap off a 4lb higher mark when in the hands of trainer Ed Dunlop two years ago. Well beaten in two starts for current connections and others make more appeal.
Debut win for Peter Chapple-Hyam proved a false dawn as she failed to add to it and seemed regressive on the whole. Well held when in rear for most of the way on stable debut at Leopardstown earlier this month. The filly makes for little appeal.
Running well over hurdles since the turn of the year including a win at Punchestown in January. Lightly raced on the Flat, hitting the frame on three of his four starts. Looks well treated on handicap debut.
Winner of three of her 14 starts on the Flat last season. Sixth of 14 beaten 6L on second start of the season at Naas earlier this month. Likable type who should be in the mix.
Winner of three of his 21 Flat starts on the turf and has not been seen since pulling up when tailed off in a Listowel handicap hurdle in September. Others preferred.
16-race maiden on the Flat, nine of those defeats coming on turf. Out of luck on seasonal debut at Gowran Park recently and looks opposable in current form.
Forecasts
Free Ranger (9/4), Stormy Tale (3/1), Divine Approach (11/2), Tirmizi (6/1), Cash In Mind (9/1), Amlad (14/1), Rips Dream (16/1), Orsera (25/1), Rock Samphire (40/1)
Trainer Noel Meade may well have found an ideal opening for his Lope De Vega gelding FREE RANGER to get off the mark at the fifth time of asking on handicap debut. The five-year-old can managed to see off potential challengers, Rips Dream who can improve on last run at Dundalk, Tirmizi, badly checked on latest start at Leopardstown earlier this month and top weight, Divine Approach.

- Rips Dream
- Tirmizi
