Talented juvenile whose finest hour came when landing the Group 3 Princess Margaret Stakes at Ascot. More exposed than most of these, but certainly not out of it.
Two wins in eight starts as a juvenile and rounded off her first season with victory at Leicester. Stable always to be respected in these races, but she looks vulnerable to improvers.
Looked a filly with a future when winning a Sandown Listed race in fine style, but came up short in Group 3 company at Goodwood on final start as a juvenile. Probably better than that run suggests and stable continues to send out winners.
Won four times as a juvenile, including at Group 3 level on the July course. Good third in the Rockfel Stakes over this C&D on final start, form which has been advertised by the runner-up's success at Newbury on Saturday.
Daughter of Sepoy who cost 10,000 gns as a foal and 65,000 gns as a juvenile. Made all when scoring at Lingfield in December, but this is a much stiffer assignment.
Newcastle maiden winner who ran well to finish third of nine in a 1m Listed contest at this venue in November. Bit to find on that evidence, but drop to 7f should suit.
Progressive as a juvenile, rounding off her season with a ¾L victory over Angel's Hideaway (gave 3lb) in a Group 3 contest over C&D. Needs to continue her improvement, but every chance if she does.
Won a novice event at Yarmouth in October and ran well in defeat in two races at Meydan in January. More needed against the best of these rivals, however. Stable won this last year.
Clear-cut winner of minor contests at Chelmsford and Newcastle in February. Takes a big step up in class, but may be up to it and is preferred to stable companion Nashirah.
Stable companion of Mot Juste who made a winning debut when scraping home in a maiden over C&D in September. This is a completely different ball game, but she is clearly talented and cannot be ruled out.
Maiden winner at this venue in September before finishing a good third to Mot Juste and Angel's Hideaway on her final start as a juvenile. Needs to have improved over the winter if she is to turn round the form, but that is not impossible.
Forecasts
Qabala (10/3), Main Edition (4/1), Angel's Hideaway (9/2), Mot Juste (7/1), Sunday Star (9/1), Nashirah (10/1), Orchid Star (14/1), Look Around (16/1), Come On Leicester (20/1), Mercenary Rose (33/1), Mistress Of Love (40/1)
A competitive renewal of this 1,000 Guineas trial and one which can go to MAIN EDITION, who has form in the book and experience on her side. There should not be too much between old rivals Mot Juste, Angel's Hideaway and Sunday Star, while Qabala, Orchid Star and Mercenary Rose get their chance to prove they are up to this level. Look Around is better than she showed on her final start last season and can get involved.
- Main Edition
- Mot Juste
- Angel's Hideaway
