One win from four starts over fences, scoring in facile fashion at Southwell (2m, good) in October on second attempt. Other efforts nowhere near as good, but could play a role if in the mood.
Looked a decent prospect with a pair of wins over hurdles in 2016. Beset by absences since, not much in terms of positives in two runs for this trainer and makes chase bow in this.
Inconsistent sort when trained in Ireland by James Nash (just one hurdles success) and 0-3 over these obstacles. Shaped better at Chepstow (2m, good to soft) on third outing for new handler and finds a decent spot for return to chasing.
Poor maiden over timber (0-6) and finished midfield (beaten 38L) on recent chase bow at Warwick (3m, good) when sporting first-time cheekpieces. Up against it for now.
Maiden of 16 starts now (four over fences); had a wind op after leaving Martin Keighley to join this yard but couldn't justify market support (favourite) at Hereford (2m5f, good) when weakening and being pulled up. Betting check needed again.
Couldn't get his nose in front over hurdles, but did so at the second attempt over fences when going clear by 13L at Huntingdon (2m½f, good) recently. Remains of interest under a 7lb penalty, with the potential for more to come back up in distance.
Cheekpieces and some testing conditions appeared to be the catalysts for his well-supported Ffos Las win at big odds in December (made all). Didn't appear to see out 3m1f at Plumpton since and respected here.
Had been threatening to win a little race before coming good at Taunton last month, winning with a bit in hand. Got no further than first since at Wincanton, should be capable of a decent run, with no worries over increased trip.
Took an age to get off the mark but finally did so under a change of tactics (positively ridden) when scoring at Ludlow off a lowly mark in December. Two poor runs since and still 5lb above win-mark.
Made the frame in bumpers for Dan Skelton two seasons ago, but has failed to sparkle over hurdles, more recently for Oliver Greenall. Pulled up on stable debut, hard to fancy going chasing first time.
