Finished 8th in this race 12 months ago off 2lb lower mark and pulled up behind Beware The Bear at Cheltenham last time. Hasn't really fired this season and has plenty to prove.
Ran a cracker in this 12 months ago when third to Joe Farrell. 8lb higher mark makes life tougher but was fine second to Beware The Bear at Cheltenham before falling at 1st in last week's Grand National. Obvious chance if recovered from that.
Yard has won this three times before. In great form this term rattling up hat-tick and rising 26lb in ratings. Good second at Kelso latest but has 6f further to travel now. Chance if he sees it out.
Stays 3m5f and bounced back to form last time with 3m2f win at Newbury in veterans event. Up 6lb for that but in good heart and should run his race on first try at 4m.
Received 12lb but beat Dingo Dollar on this card last year in hot novices chase. Third in 2m4f Wexford hurdle latest and looks to have been trained with this marathon in mind. Well worth noting for any market move.
Thorough stayer who won over this trip last time in Newcastle Eider Chase. Up 7lb but has been saved for this event and loooks sure to give a good account of himself with stamina assured.
Gallant neck second to Vicente in this race two years ago but pulled up when well behind in last year's renewal. Won Grade 3 Cheltenham h'cap chase earlier this term but ran poorly at Warwick last time out in January.
Unseated rider early last time having won novice match race previous start. Equipped with first time visor now but hasn't raced beyond 3m and question mark over whether or not he will stay.
Unexposed chaser who stayed on strongly into fourth behind Beware The Bear at Cheltenham Festival last month. 9lb better off for just over 6 lengths so has decent claims for Scottish team.
Should stay and won over extended 3m4f at Haydock earlier this season. Hampered and unseated rider when weakening 4 out in Grand National Trial at Haydock latest but has had a break and is not without hope.
Ran on well to win Grade 3 Classic Chase at Warwick (3m5f) in January but eventually pulled up having been badly hampered 14th in National Hunt Chase at Cheltenham last time. Top amateur on board once again claiming valuable 5lb.
Stayed on well to land Sedgefield's Durham National (3m5f) three starts ago and third in Grimthorpe H'cap Chase at Doncaster latest was solid effort. In handicap proper so has a sporting chance if seeing out extra 3f.
Never raced beyond 3m2f. Won wel last time on heavy ground at Carlisle (3m) and raised 6lb for his troubles. Yard has 20% strike rate at this track and interesting that shrewd handler asks him to tackle another mile at this level.
On a hat-trick after two wins in lower grade over shorter trips. Raised 9lb for latest Catterick win and will do well to win again taking on much togher company.
Stable companion of Takingrisks. Hacked up by 9 lengths in Doncaster's Grimthorpe Chase last time and 7lb rise looks fair. Proper chance if he stays this extra 6f off light weight so has to enter calculations.
Handicapper looks to have his measure after decent fourth in Grimthorpe Chase last time following two good wins. 1lb out of the handicap here and although open to more improvement faces a tough task.
1lb out of the handicap. Stayed on well though over 3m at Ascot last time to land decent staying chase. 7lb higher mark here but yard respected and certainly not a no-hoper.
Trying a new trip and while not disgraced in listed h'cap chase at Kelso last time, looks to have plenty on his plate in hotter race here.
Wears first time tongue-tie and arrives here in form followng 3m2f win at Newbury three weeks ago. 2lb out of the h'cap but stays (won 3m6f Highland National last year) so worth a second glance.
Never out of the first three in all eight career starts and is still unexposed, especially at this trip. Ran on well to score here 3m3f last time but now 12lb higher. Going the right way and there could feasibly be more to come.
Third over 4m in Eider Chase penultimate start and probably found trip on sharp side when second at Plumpton last time. 4lb wrong at the weights though so faces a real challenge.
Stayed on to be good fourth in this race 12 months ago. Not in quite same form in three starts since but returns now from wind surgery and despite being 5lb out of the handicap cannot be dismissed.
5lb wrong at the weights. Won in France at up to 2m4f but was fair second to Rathlin Rose over 3m at Ascot last time. This extra mile will stretch him but worth notning for any market support for good yard.
