Very useful staying handicapper who has not been seen since finishing an excellent third in last season's Chester Cup. Runs off the same mark and is a reliable sort who should be thereabouts.
Lightly-raced gelding who was in good form on the AW during the winter. Returns from a short break with stable in fine form so no surprise to see him go close on ground which should suit.
Plenty of good form in staying contests for David Simcock a couple of seasons ago and has finished runner-up in three novice hurdles since joining his top jumps trainer. Interesting returned to the Flat.
In fair form on the AW since the turn of the year, but last win was achieved back in 2017 and most of his runs have been on artificial surfaces. Looks a little high in the weights.
Well behind Vis A Vis in last season's Cesarewitch, but his form had started to deteriorate by that stage and he is better judged on earlier solid efforts, including a second to Medburn Cutter in this race. Tends to go well when fresh.
Capable hurdler at his best and is 1-3 on the Flat on turf. That win came over 1m2f, however, so this distance will test his stamina to the full.
Beat Coeur de Lion by a neck on seasonal reappearance in this contest last year and was not disgraced in two subsequent runs off higher marks. Worth considering in bid for repeat success.

Festival Of Ages (6/4), Coeur de Lion (7/2), The Cashel Man (4/1), Vis A Vis (9/2), Who Dares Wins (8/1), Medburn Cutler (10/1), Castlelyons (14/1), Coeur Blimey (16/1)
Stable companions Who Dares Wins and Coeur de Lion are of interest along with the latter's conqueror in this race last year, Medburn Cutter. The Cashel Man and Vis A Vis try their hand back on the Flat after some decent hurdling displays, but the one with the most scope for improvement is FESTIVAL OF AGES, who ran well on the AW during the winter and may appreciate the return to turf.
