0-9 so far and form on the AW has been poor. Very hard to recommend under top weight. Poor run latest needs to be eclipsed.

Mixed form over jumps recently and made no impression when switched back to the Flat last month; nothing to get enthusiastic about from that effort. Makes limited appeal for a punt.

Goes well here and is in good from at present. Ran well from this mark in both his last two starts; good chance in a weak race.

No joy over hurdles recently but goes well at this time of year and not too much to find back on the Flat in this company; is 0-11 on the AW though.

One win from 27 starts under both codes of racing; 0-5 on the AW though and finished last on his only previous try at this course. Others preferred.

Has form at all the AW courses but never yet been seen at his best at Kempton. Well handicapped on the pick of his form but recent evidence says he's unlikely to recapture enough sparkle to capitalise on a very lenient mark.

Won a classified stakes over slightly further here last month but found a 6lb higher mark prohibitive here last week; the drop in trip might help but the gelding may not be so popular in the betting after that disappointing run.

Far Cry85

Started out in bumpers and then over hurdles but is still a maiden under both codes and hasn't made much progress so far. On a decent looking mark but needs to up his game after being well held here twice in January (first start since).

Another who has yet to win under either code of racing and makes limited appeal even on the pick of his form since reverting to the Flat.

Low grade handicapper that still has a winless status after 31 previous races. However, recent form has been encouraging even though his willingness to put his head in front when it really matters will always be a concern.

23lb below his last winning mark but lacks any sort of consistency; his latest start (in a seller) was his best effort since he underwent wind surgery in January but still left a bit to be desired.

Forecasts

Iley Boy (11/4), Murhib (7/2), Goldslinger (9/2), Becky Sharp (6/1), Foxrush Take Time (9/1), Harbour Force (12/1), Shovel It On (14/1), Far Cry (16/1), Golconda Prince (25/1), Mime Dance (50/1), Harbour Sunrise (50/1), Guaracha (100/1)

Verdict

A poor race and everyone of these has been hard to win with; not least FOXRUSH TAKE TIME, who is still a maiden after 31 previous attempts. However, this has so little strength in depth that he's worth another throw of the dice. Iley Boy has little to find and should also be thereabouts, while Far Cry is on a handy mark and and can figure in this company of he puts his mind to the task in hand. Murhib is respected but on a retrieval mission after a modest effort last time.
  1. Foxrush Take Time
  2. Iley Boy
  3. Far Cry
