Made all to score in similar grade at Carlisle. Probably had too much use made of him over a longer trip on testing ground since and will be happier here. Likely to find it hard to dominate this big field and one or two are probably better weighted.
Arrived from France with a tall reputation. Hitherto disappointing but plummeting down the weights and less highly tried. Worth a market check with the yard in cracking form.
Beat only serious rival 33L at Fontwell and handicapper has only raised him 3lb for that. The runner-up had split a useful pair at Newbury so on face value he may have got off lightly.
Fairly weighted on his Wetherby win but two runs since have been disappointing. Has had wind surgery since a poor effort at Leicester and he may want better ground.
Got his head in front for the first time for these connections when first past the post at Hereford. Had a hard race that day and seemed to be showing the effects subsequently. Has had wind surgery during a break and could be better for it.
Showed fair form on differing surfaces in Ireland. Has changed yards after a poor run last time and may need this after a break.
Getting on for three years since his last win and recent efforts have been lacklustre. Hard to foresee improvement with conditions slower than he likes.
Won a minor juvenile contest on good ground in the summer of 2017 and last month's comeback seemed to confirm he prefers faster conditions.
Has gone well here on the Flat in the past and outran odds of 100/1 two outings ago. Possible surprise package in a race which is less competitive than it looks.
Tremendous old boy who has won 9-53 over hurdles and hit the target three starts back at Newton Abbot last July. Off since October and may need this.
Won three over hurdles in 2016 and 7lb below his last winning mark. Off since his point-to-point campaign a year ago and others preferred.
Best performances lately have come off marks in today's 103-104 range and unlucky to bump into a well-handicapped rival last time. Good conditional on board and he has solid each-way claims.
Maiden under both codes who has been placed in modest company before underperforming on handicap debut. Mark steep enough for now and others are more appealing.
Not badly weighted but career record of 1-28 under both codes and soft ground hardly likely to help him improve that record.
Nicely weighted at present and a pipe opener on the Flat last week showed he has been revived by a break. Rain has improved his chances and his only win came here on similar ground.
Placed in a small field heavy ground bumper at Tramore last April. Well beaten in four outings over hurdles for this yard however and probably best watched at present.
Never built on his Limerick novice win when with James Nash, also tried over fences and in headgear. Underperformed on both starts for this yard and others have more obvious claims.
Sole win came in a lower grade race over C&D in March 2018. Well beaten in her repeat bid and has a bit to prove off this mark.
Forecasts
Cilaos Glace (15/8), Gregarious (9/2), Nabhan (9/1), Navajo War Dance (10/1), Jaboticaba (14/1), Demopolis (14/1), Imperial Acolyte (16/1), Flight To Nowhere (20/1), All Good Things (20/1), Kilchreest Moon (20/1), Set List (25/1), Global Thrill (25/1), Sunday At Augusta (25/1), Karakoram (33/1), Wolftrap (40/1), The Raven Master (40/1), Tamarillo Grove (50/1), Rahmah (50/1)
CILAOS GLACE may have been flattered by his margin of victory last time but the runner-up's form suggests he has escaped lightly with just a 3lb rise. The Llewellyn pair Nabhan and Global Thrill are nicely weighted with conditions to suit and could repay each-way support. Gregarious will do well to make all here, but Demopolis needs to be watched in the market given his former reputation and current stable form.
- Cilaos Glace
- Nabhan
- Global Thrill
