Showed promise in first two starts before significant improvement up in trip when winning at this track. This extra furlong will only help on handicap debut and looks a leading player for an in-form stable.

Showed ability in all three turf starts between September and October last year and now makes AW, season and handicap debut. Open to improvement again this campaign and one to note for a stable going well.

Won a novice on his third start and then ran to a similar level in a bunch finish at Kempton on handicap debut. Cheekpieces added and more improvement required now in a tougher race.

Left his turf debut behind with a couple of improved efforts when stepped up in distance and switched to the AW last November. Extra furlong may help again on reappearance but improvement needed off this opening handicap mark.

12th foal of a mare who has produced eight winners including AW specialists Russki, The Scorching Wind. Steady improvement in three starts and well drawn to attack. Likely to progress again on handicap and course debut and should be competitive.

Five-race maiden has shown promise so far but has continued to race too keenly and lacks a change of gears late on. Place possibilities again but needs to prove he needs this step up in distance.

Improved from first to second start on turf last year and then seemingly didn't handle the fibresand on AW debut. Looked the type who would improve with time and this step up in trip. One to note in the market on his reappearance.

Forecasts

Ballylemon (4/5), Noble Lineage (2/1), Agent Basterfield (5/1), Peckinpah (16/1), Fares Alpha (20/1), Gold Bere (20/1), Fox Kasper (28/1), Copper Rose (40/1)

Verdict

Agent Basterfield went close to losing his maiden tag on his recent handicap debut and if turned out quickly could easily go one better in a tight race. Copper Rose should make a bold bid from the front while Ballylemon represents an in-form yard and should be checked for market support along with Peckinpah. NOBLE LINEAGE is going the right way and hit the line in his win here as though this extra distance is going to bring further improvement.
