C&D winner in December (looked very at home on the surface); race next time out may have come too soon over 7f here. Mixed bag in two runs since a break (both a Lingfield), below-par last time (ran too free); may well enjoy a return to Fibresand.

C&D winner with a good course record; ran right up to her best last time when only beaten by one with a terrific course record (lost nothing in defeat). Should appreciate the slight ease in grade; leading claims off the same mark.

Looks at home on this surface and ran well back on it last time when not beaten far by a multiple scorer on Fibresand (Hammer Gun, with Baron Run/Muqarred behind). Upped 3lb for that run he should be able to cope with this mark; respected again.

C&D winner but on a losing run that continues to extend back to early last year. In good heart lately here but does continue to look a little soft in a finish failing to find as much as he should over C&D last time off this mark.

Progressed gradually once switched to this surface producing a career-best when taking a 0-65 C&D handicap in January off a 5lb lower mark. Not seen since then but can't be left out of the picture returning from a short break.

Generally goes well here but there is an element of him still finding his feet again after a long break. Raced wide last time, finishing midfield (not knocked about) behind Equidae; has a bit to do to turn around that form.

Three-time C&D winner but has some work to do with some of these and even after a seven week break still looked out of sorts last time over C&D. Even with his good Fibresand form it takes a leap of faith to support him for this.

Has looked on good terms with himself on Fibresand this year (32133) with the win coming over this trip but in a much lower grade. Has run with credit since then but has work to do with some of these (most notably Equidae) from out the handicap.

Forecasts

Long Socks (7/2), Tum Tum (4/1), Equidae (4/1), Mama Africa (9/2), Motajaasid (5/1), Majestic Moon (7/1), Baron Run (8/1), Muqarred (12/1), Red Touch (33/1)

Verdict

No shortage of course and C&D form here with all bar one of the runners having won over this trip on Fibresand. Equidae and Long Socks both won here last time out but those victories came in a lower grade and both will need to find some further progress to score again. MAMA AFRICA was only collared late on by a real Fibresand monster (Hammer Gun) last time having shown that she is capable of winning off this mark and the slight ease in grade is a bonus. Baron Run is consistent on Fibresand but his may prove to be a little too tough and Tum Tum and Motajaasid would appeal more, the latter should enjoy a return to this surface.
  1. Mama Africa
  2. Equidae
  3. Motajaasid
