Horse A-Z
Respectable effort on debut at Carlisle earlier this month and seemed to get better the further he went. His dam is a sister to bumper winners, so the gelding has a fair bit going for him. Worth a betting check.

Held on debut and clearly failed to justify the €95,000 price tag he carried as a three-year-old. Yard is in flying form but this fellow has a bit to prove. Possible he's going to need a stronger test of stamina.

Justified favoritism in his last start in a point-to-point and looks a decent chaser in the making. Pedigree suggests he'll need a good test of stamina.

Cost €50,000 as a three-year-old, the gelding is a half-brother to decent chaser Whiskey And Red, as well as hurdles winner Line D'Aos. Appeals on paper and worth a betting check at least.

Went for €50,000 as a yearling but wouldn't be an obvious candidate to be introduced in a race of this nature (breeding has a leaning towards the Flat). Probably best watched on his racecourse bow.
Cost just £3,500 as a yearling but has jumps winners in her bloodlines. Yard has done well with a small number of runners lately but likelihood this mare will just benefit from this experience.

Cost £9,000 and is the first foal out of a bumper winner, who is related to a couple of winners over hurdles. Yard can have one ready but winners in this sphere have been low in numbers in recent times.
Wasn't without support when she was introduced in a fillies bumper here last January but didn't make much of an impact and was readily brushed aside. Been given plenty of time but still looks a long term project. Others make more appeal this time.
Cost £7,000 and is related to winners over a variety of trips. The yard's runners are going well just now but this does look a big ask for the four-year-old to take on his elders at this stage.

Forecasts

Biblical (3/1), Dog Of War (4/1), Generator City (5/1), All About You (6/1), Old Jeroboam (13/2), Wild Gypsy Boy (7/1), Orburstock (14/1), Tara Force (66/1), Black Opium (80/1)

Verdict

Not the strongest of bumper and previous experience will be a useful tool at this stage of development for the younger horses. With that in mind, ALL ABOUT YOU looks the safest option after he posted a near miss on debut at Carlisle earlier this month. The gelding's dam is a sister to a bumper winner and, given that he showed a good attitude on debut, this looks a reasonable opening for the five-year-old. Dog Of War is likely to also leave his debut run behind him and looks a sure-fire improver; he's one seriously consider if the betting market gets behind him. Generator City won a point-to-point when last seen and he too can play a strong supporting role.

  2. Dog Of War
  3. Generator City
