A win and a place from two starts over C&D winning a nine-runner maiden in January. Successful over 2m here since and can remain competitive off his current mark.
A real money spinner at the track and made it four wins from seven runs at the venue this winter with another game effort winning over C&D last month. No extra inside the final furlong when a well held fifth of eight earlier this month.
Winner of four of her seven starts over hurdles including when last seen finishing ahead of a six-runner contest at Cheltenham in November. Sixth of 10 on sole start here over 1m2½f in May and best watched on return.
Winner of one of his four starts at this track for trainer David Simcock but has shown little or no hint of ability in six starts for current connections since September, including a 18L defeat here in January.
The step up to Listed company when finishing 10th of 12 beaten 25L may have been a step too far for the filly. But looks on a workable mark following a Second of 11 over C&D in September. One of the more likely types.
Took a step forward in his form when beaten just over a length over C&D earlier in the month but was well beaten on most recent start when her jockey reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount felt lame tuning for home here last week.
Solid and consistent mare who keeps on defying the odds, landing a hat-trick of wins at the track since February including success over C&D off a 4lb lower mark earlier this month. Another bold bid looks likely.
Got off the mark at the 18th time of asking for connections landing a 6k handicap over C&D last month. A further success came later in the month off a 15lb lower mark and was only denied the hat-trick by Sheisdiesel here earlier in the month.
Winner of one of her four starts over C&D with success coming in November off a 6lb lower mark. Finished as part of a bunch finish here last month over the same combination and likely to run well once again.
Hit the frame on four of his five starts over C&D including on three of his starts since December. Rising mark without winning doesn't help but repeat of that form should make for a bold bid with notable jockey booking.
Winner of three of his 23 starts over C&D, finishing in the places on a further 11 occasions. On a long losing run but step back up to this trip off this mark could spell danger.
Forecasts
Chaparral Dream (7/2), Chess Grand Master (7/2), Sheisdiesel (11/2), Bit Of Banter (7/1), Itsalonglongroad (8/1), Park Row (8/1), Carried (12/1), Tooreen Legend (16/1), Touch Of Gold (20/1), Pearl Of The West (25/1), Captain Morley (50/1)
The solid and consistent CHESS GRAND MASTER looks a versatile sort and can build on his C&D second last month off a similar mark under Donnacha O'Brien. The six-year-old will have plenty of dangers in the shape of February conqueror Park Row and the rapidly improving Chaparral Dream. The four-time seeking Sheisdiesel cannot be easily dismissed while Tooreen Legend was reportedly wrong turning for home over C&D last week.
