Milan gelding, related to several winners, who impressively landed a Dromahane point-to-point in December. Stable have a 3-3 record in this contest and clearly a leading contender to maintain that record.
Half-brother to five winners including two who were successful in bumpers, the pick of whom is stable companion Valdez. Stable 3-11 in bumpers this month (two more were second) so one to note in the market.
Malinas gelding out of the owner's Grade 2 winning mare Shatabdi. Half-brother to useful hurdlers/bumper winners Jameson and All The Answers. Stable 6-14 in bumpers here and he is the champion jockey's only booked ride.
Schiaparelli gelding out of a mare who was unplaced in bumpers. Stable don't have many NH runners and this is top rider's only mount of the day.
Kayf Tara gelding out of an unraced mare who comes from a top jumping family. Stable only have a 7% strike rate in bumpers and this looks an above-average contest.
It was a poor race he won at Tinahely in October but he recorded the best time of the day in doing so. Bred to stay and he would probably have enjoyed a stronger gallop on debut. Nevertheless, there are plenty in this who have achieved more
Coolmore bred newcomer by Galileo so no surprise to see he hails from an excellent flat family with half-brother Moonlight Cloud a multiple Group One winner. Fourth in a traditionally hot bumper at Newbury on debut and he sets the standard.
Has only looked ordinary in his two starts to date and top yard have a below-average strike rate in bumpers at his venue. Has valuable experience but this is potentially much stronger than either of his previous tests.
Norse Dancer gelding out of an unraced sister to Harry Topper. Yard, 0-11 in bumpers since 2014, are without a winner since April 2016.
Cheap purchase who only beat one home on Exeter debut. Highly tried here and hard to believe he can seriously compete with some of these.
Makes little appeal on pedigree and her Taunton debut did not indicate she will threaten a stronger looking field here.
Only beat two home on Southwell debut in November. Will need to have come on leaps and bounds since then just to make the frame.

Bourbon Borderline (5/4), Welsh Saint (4/1), Maitree Express (4/1), The Swagman (6/1), Avoid De Master (10/1), Numitor (14/1), Hostile (16/1), Thegallantway (18/1), Fenrir Binding (50/1), Samtara (50/1), Galtee Mountain (125/1), Kandula (200/1), Mello Yello (200/1)
The Swagman and Welsh Saint have the pick of the form of those to have raced with the former probably achieving more in a hot race at Newbury. Avoid De Master and Bourbon Borderline are winning point-to-pointers from yards who have won his previously, whilst Hostile is from a bumper winning family and his trainer has been enjoying some luck in these events recently. MAITREE EXPRESS also has a good pedigree and his trainer's record here in bumpers is hard to fault. He is Richard Johnson's only ride of the day and that is a hint worth taking.
- Maitree Express
- Bourbon Borderline
- The Swagman
