Unraced half-brother to the winning hurdler Dr Sanderson, will find this trip and likely ground fine for debut and booking of Richard Johnson suggests a good run may be forthcoming. Market will guide.

Only moderate on the Flat but has a couple of reasonable efforts in decent company to his name over hurdles, and might be able to pick a little race up in handicap company this spring. This looks a bit too tough, though.

Related to a winner or two, and his fourth at Warwick (Carnage behind) suggested there's a race in him. Poor again last time though and hard to know exactly what to expect here.

Not without ability on the Flat (liked quick ground, should get that here) but two efforts over hurdles have left a lot to be desired. May improve at some point but hard to say when.

Twice a winner in Belgium back in 2017 but showed very littlle on only hurdles start (at Worcester) last August and hasn't been seen since. No realistic chance.
Bit better at Stratford a fortnight ago, and addition of hood and tongue tie here might help his cause further, but hard to see him taking a hand in the finish all the same.

Was going backwards on the Flat for John Gosden and although he's done okay in two starts for Alan King over hurdles, has been too keen for his own good. Chances on form but by no means one to trust.

Some promise to be taken from his sixth to the useful Emitom at Lingfield in January but couldn't back that up last time and seems to have a lot on his plate here. Others readily preferred.

Has achieved next to nothing in three starts and looks one that simply needs a lot more time. Can't be entertained as the winner today.

Seems to be getting the hang of things with each start, second at Fakenham last time his best effort yet and if brushing up his hurdling technique a bit more, ought to take a leading role here. Solid chance.

One win in ten starts for Harry Dunlop on the Flat (12f, quick ground) but has yet to translate that ability over hurdles. May be one for a summer handicap hurdle later in the year, but this looks too tough.
Winner in heavy ground on the Flat last September but has shown very little in the way of ability in two hurdles starts. Others readily make more appeal.

Forecasts

Zanzi Win (6/5), Tiffin Top (9/4), By Order Of (3/1), Dilson (14/1), Golden Image (20/1), Verbitude (33/1), Carnage (40/1), Doctor Jazz (50/1), No Cruise Yet (66/1), Homing Star (100/1), Zambino (100/1), Janus (100/1)

Verdict

This is by no means a strong event for the grade, and if the money spoke in favour of By Order Of that might well be money well placed. Tiffin Top has some hurdles form to his name but he was regressive on the Flat and it's not a given he'll progress over hurdles either. ZANZI WIN just about looks the safest option at present as he seems to be going the right way and may have a bit more to offer once he tidies his jumping up. Those looking for something at a bigger price each-way could do worse than chance a quid or two on Carnage, who has shown some aptitude for the game.
  1. Zanzi Win
  2. By Order Of
  3. Tiffin Top
