Two solid runs when last seen in December but they were over shorter and was pulled up only previous try at this trip so does have stamina to prove.
Promising novice last season but has failed to fire in three runs this term. Blinkers now replace cheek pieces but would like to see more before he warrants support.
Confidence booster over timber latest. Hasn't looked a natural in four goes over fences and only of interest if market speaks positively for him.
First of his two attempts over fences was the better of the pair and judged on some of his efforts in the past, this return to further may help. Worth a cautionary note in the betting.
Point-to-point winner who showed by far his best form over fences to date when a front-running third at Carlisle last time. Relatively lightly raced and better to come so respected here.
Stiff task at Newbury on penultimate start but latest effort at Taunton harder to excuse and hard to know what to expect after that.
Back on song here last time after finding company at Sandown a bit too hot. Generally consistent sort who stays very well and could play a part.
Dual hurdle winner in the mud last season. Hit the frame four of his five starts over the larger obstacles but drying ground a concern and needs to eke out a bit to win one of these.
Last run for Phillip Hobbs was in Cross Country event in 2017 and the veteran showed little on debut for this yard over timber recently. Others preferred.
Showed a bit more on latest following succession of disappointing efforts over hurdles. Now reverts to fences off a 13lb lower mark than last seen in this sphere and thrown in here on his Ascot win in November 2017. Interesting.
Off the course since a pair of disappointing efforts over a year ago and something to prove on his return.

Forecasts
For Good Measure (4/1), Fortunate George (4/1), Coningsby (5/1), Quarenta (5/1), Garrane (11/2), Sandy Beach (15/2), Duel At Dawn (8/1), Dusky Lark (10/1), Socksy (12/1), Vice Et Vertu (14/1), You Say What (14/1), Stamp Your Feet (14/1), Bertie Boru (66/1)
FORTUNATE GEORGE is too well handicapped on his chase form from last season to be easily ignored and he is taken to continue the good form of his stable. Coningsby shaped better at Carlisle last time and there should be more to come. Sandy Beach is normally seen in slightly stronger company and should play a part.
- Fortunate George
- Coningsby
- Sandy Beach
