Verdict

A desperate opener and hard to make many positive cases but at least MALANGEN will be suited to avoiding the heavy ground of his last few runs and he showed enough in the past to suggest a weak race like this is within his compass. Cold Fusion showed a bit more on latest and could go well under a positive jockey booking with Ataguiseamix completing the short list.
