Horse A-Z
Useful 133-rated hurdler but has generally disappointed in three beginners contests since the turn of the year in mistake filled performances. Could go well if his jumping is sorted.

11/4
Backed from 8/1 to 4/1f in a Naas novice handicap chase in January finishing 10th of 11 beaten 70L in a mistake filled round, eventually found to be lame. Better over hurdles latest and worth a market check in first-time cheekpieces.

Rock Road13

14/1
Useful 11-rated novice hurdler who only ran well to halfway on chasing debut over 2m in a Naas beginners contest earlier this month on ground with plenty of give. Hard to fancy with big step up in trip.
5
Horse silk
33/1
Modest 88-rated handicap hurdler who will have disappointed connections in a series of dismal efforts to date including tailed off when pulled up on chasing debut at Gowran Park earlier this month. Form doesn't warrant support here.

Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: D N Russell| T: G Elliott
7/4
Consistent 128-rated handicapper over hurdles through 2018 (without winning), applied himself well when third in Thurles beginners' chase won by Ex Patriot last month before disappointing at Naas earlier this month finishing 47L adrift of the winner
Has failed to complete in four of his last six starts including his last two chase starts towards the end of last summer. Well below par form looks set to continue here.

12/1
Solid form in a number of point-to-point starts and not disgraced in three hurdle starts in January. Third of nine beaten over 14L on chasing debut in a Leopardstown beginners contest earlier this month. Will look to improve on that run here.

14/1
Four from 42 over hurdles but remains a four-race chase maiden. Well held on latest start at Gowran Park over the larger obstacles and hasn't shown enough to be of interest in this contest.

50/1
Without a win in seven hurdle starts well beaten on each occasion. Little encourage to be sought here on chasing introduction.

Forecasts

Rathnure Rebel (6/4), Stooshie (7/4), Another Barney (11/4), Allblak Des Places (9/2), The Mulcare Rover (8/1), Tinnehinch (12/1), You Can't Catch Me (14/1), Rock Road (14/1), Sizing Joshua (33/1), The Full Office (50/1), Ilsnepasserontpas (50/1)

Verdict

Grade 3 winning hurdler RATHNURE REBEL finished second of 15 beaten 8½L in a Gowran Park beginners contest earlier this month on soft ground over 2m4f and the Beneficial gelding can build on that run to get off the mark over the larger obstacles at the third time of asking for connections. The Gordon Elliott-trained Stooshie can emerge as the biggest danger following his chasing introduction, while Another Barney in first-time cheekpieces and the Willie Mullins-trained Allblak Des Places can battle for the minor honours.
  1. Rathnure Rebel
  2. Stooshie
  3. Another Barney
