Good second over an extended 3m1f at Warwick (good-to-soft) in January but finished a well held fifth over 2m7f at Haydock (soft) earlier this week on his only subsequent start. Others hold stronger claims.
Registered a second chase success when winning over an extended 3m1f at Plumpton (soft) just under two weeks ago. Raised 8lb for that victory and is one for the shortlist once more.
Winner of a 3m1f handicap hurdle at Plumpton (soft) last month and ran well in defeat when fifth over the same C&D subsequently. Making his first chase start in nearly five years.
Placed second on both starts since joining this stable. Contested a handicap event over an extended 2m5f at Taunton (good) just over a month ago and is one to note stepping up in distance.
Four time chase winner including over this C&D but struggled when beaten 45L over an extended 2m7f at Newcastle (good-to-soft) earlier this month. Cheekpieces replace the visor worn on that occasion.
Dual winner over fences most recently in a handicap event over an extended 3m1f at Ffos Las (heavy) in December. Returns to fences having pulled up over hurdles at the same venue the following month.
Placed second in a heavy ground 3m novices' handicap chase at Uttoxeter in December. Disappointed at Market Rasen (3m, good-to-soft) subsequently and cheekpieces tried for the first time on return from a break.
Returned from a break with a good second in a soft ground handicap chase over 3m at Southwell earlier this week. Races off the same mark here and is interesting if recovered from those exertions.
C&D winner but out of form since finishing runner-up in a novices' handicap chase over this C&D in April last year. Market support would be notable with a tongue tie tried for the first time.
Returning from nearly a year off the track when a well beaten sixth in a handicap hurdle at Ayr (soft) earlier this month. More needed from out of the handicap on his return to fences.
Forecasts
Rollerball Rocco (3/1), Danboru (7/2), Cadeau Du Bresil (9/2), Little Boy Boru (9/1), Carlo Rocks (10/1), Oneida Tribe (10/1), Spirit Of Hale (10/1), Steel Native (14/1), Whiskey Chaser (25/1), Tommy The Rascal (40/1)
DANBORU can go one better than when finishing runner-up on his last three starts to take this competitive looking staying handicap chase. Cadeau Du Bresil was a winner at Plumpton on his most recent appearance and with the trip and ground to suit he can take second ahead of Rollerball Rocco who finished runner-up earlier this week.
- Danboru
- Cadeau Du Bresil
- Rollerball Rocco
