Well held on last two starts, but had previously been in good form without getting her head in front. Down to a fair mark and has prospects if first-time blinkers have a positive effect,
Not getting any younger, but showed the fire still burns when scoring over C&D when last seen in January. Up 2lb and is likely to be on the premises again.
Decent effort to be second of 13 over 6f at Wolverhampton last time. Drop to 5f not a problem, but is up 1lb and it's almost a year since he got his head in front.
No wins from 13 starts and latest display over 6f at Kempton was underwhelming. Previous run suggests this trip is more his thing and falling handicap mark offers hope.
Scored over 6f at Kempton in January and has not been disgraced in three subsequent runs off higher marks. Not certain this drop to the minimum trip is what he needs.
Only two wins in 20 starts and the latest of those was achieved over two years ago. Only limited encouragement in recent efforts so others make more appeal.
Back-to-back 5f successes at Wolverhampton in January and was by no means disgraced when fourth of nine on latest start over this C&D. Down 1lb and has each-way claims.
Yarmouth winner last June, but has failed to beat a rival on his last five starts, latterly at Brighton in September. May do better after his break, but cannot be fancied until showing more.
C&D winner in October and confirmed his liking for this venue when runner-up last time. Every chance on that effort off 1lb higher and cheekpieces are applied for the first time.
Has lost his way recently and starts out for a new trainer after just one run for Paul D'Arcy. Only 2lb higher than when successful over C&D last May.
Forecasts
Fareeq (11/4), Holdenhurst (4/1), Prominna (5/1), Sandfrankskipsgo (13/2), Avon Green (7/1), Waneen (7/1), Little Miss Daisy (14/1), Captain Ryan (20/1), Mr Gent (25/1), Haveoneyerself (33/1)
Avon Green is nicely weighted and is interesting in first-time blinkers, but this can go to PROMINNA, who shaped well over C&D last time and needs to find only a little more in first-time cheekpieces to get his head back in front. Others to enter calculations include Fareeq, Sandfrankskipsgo, Captain Ryan and Holdenhurst. Haveoneyerself and Waneen represent last year's winning stable, but have been out of sorts.
- Prominna
- Avon Green
- Captain Ryan
