Every Race Live On Racing TV Novices' Handicap Hurdle

Off time: 15:50 | Winning time: 5m 51.20s

Ettila De Sivola^t1²⁷

Age: 5| Weight: 11-12| J: B S Hughes| T: J Ewart| OR: 117

4/1

Promising hurdler, having won easily on debut at Sedgefield and then returned to that venue under a penalty and run well in a decent race for the track. Tongue-tie could help here too. Acts on soft and has claims.

Form: 1-13

Lookforarainbow^h,t³¹

Age: 6| Weight: 11-9| J: Aidan Coleman| T: Sarah Hollinshead| OR: 114

18/1

Nine-race maiden, five of those runs being over hurdles. Mark looks stiff enough for this handicap debut.

Form: 05-4065

Eceparti⁹

Age: 5| Weight: 11-7| J: Charlie Deutsch| T: Miss V Williams| OR: 112| D

1/1

2m3f chase winner (good to firm) in France. Didn't show a huge amount in novice company over hurdles, but improved to go close on handicap debut at Stratford (good) last time. Handles cut, and should be thereabouts.

Form: 1U-9742

Destined To Shine^t⁸⁰

Age: 7| Weight: 11-6| J: Sam Twiston-Davies| T: Kerry Lee| OR: 111

7/2

Soft ground bumper winner who also landed a Hereford handicap hurdle (2m3f, good to soft) in November, when 7lb lower. Has looked exposed on both starts since then, so more needed from this mark.

Form: 04-213P

Sam Chisolm⁵³

Age: 6| Weight: 11-3| J: Tabitha Worsley⁽⁷⁾| T: S-J Davies| OR: 108

25/1

Decent effort when 50-1 and third in a Bangor bumper two starts ago, but has a bit to prove over this trip and after being pulled up last time.

Form: 406V3P

Nefyn Point⁷²

Age: 5| Weight: 11-3| J: W T Kennedy| T: D McCain Jnr| OR: 108| BF

16/1

Placed in three of his four starts so far, so there is a bit of ability there. Makes his handicap debut from a workable mark, so may now be able to kick on. Interesting.

Form: 3-353

Man Of The North^p²³

Age: 6| Weight: 10-0| J: Rex Dingle⁽⁵⁾| T: A W Carroll| OR: 86

16/1

Scored in first-time cheekpieces at Doncaster (2m, good) in January, when 8lb lower. Well held last time, and 5lb out of the handicap here, so facing a tough task.

Form: 0PU717

Forecasts

Eceparti (1/1), Destined To Shine (7/2), Ettila De Sivola (4/1), Man Of The North (16/1), Nefyn Point (16/1), Lookforarainbow (18/1), Sam Chisolm (25/1)

Nefyn Point would be very interesting if supported on his handicap debut from this mark, but preference on form so far is ETTILA DE SIVOLA, despite his penalty. Eceparti looks next best.
